Please?
I really would like to improve my level of skill with a brush, but I'm not sure where to start. I'm dramatically better than when I painted my first SM Captain back in '08, but I'm worried I've gone as far as I can through just practice, and I'm pretty sure I need to learn so technique now. But like I said, I'm not sure where to start. What do you guys think as far as what would help improve this:
Sorry it's not a great pic, all I have is my phones camera.
Edit: I think I got some better pictures taken, with a little more variety.

You really need to upload a better picture before we can give you some feedback.
I appreciate that you've only got your phone camera, and we're not asking for a professional light-box job. You must know someone who owns a digital camera with a macro setting (and a white piece of paper for the background natch)... or failing that, a phone with a camera made after 2003

I'll see what I can manage. I have a friend who does photography professional, so I'll try to borrow a camera, and hopefully I can get something better taken.

Just out of curiosity, how long have you actualy been painting (like, for serious painting). In 5 years, someone can get very very good (read: Improve greatly). Seeing as you don't rate yourself very very good (just an assumption, seeing as your asking for help to improve), I assume you haven't been regularly painting warhammer stuff/ minis in general? from what I see in the pic, It looks Like you should google "blending" and "area highlights". It also helps to have more than one or two brushes, for doing different things.

Just from that picture I can only see that maybe the edge highlighting needs to be cleaned up a little

I've been painting for most of that 5 year span, give or take several months, but I just don't feel like I've improved as much as I should have by now.
Also, I have like... 25 brushes... ^_^;; I think I might need a new batch, though. My kids like to play with them.

Ouch! the kids can't touch my Kollinskies!
Most of them are as good as they were brand new through propper care
Would thoroughly recommend Windsor and Newton Series 7's, and Rosemary and Co. And some brush cleaner/preserver (it makes all the difference to brush life - from mere weeks, a few sessions of painting without, upto years and years with it).
For tips, tricks and good advice on painting mini's I'd point you at youtube, awesome paint job, buy painted, girl painting... and many other great channels to check out offering guides, tips and tricks at many levels of skill.
Often you can use really simple easy methods to get some interesting results that look as though you put a lot more work in than you did to an untrained eye.
