As in the description i plan on joining a doubles tourny at a LGS the issue is i dont have a partner and i wanna make a decent list that no matter who i might find we might win.

If you haven't. I highly suggest putting scatter lasers on your wave serpents as well as holo fields.

I would really REALLY try to get them. it gives wave serps almost a perpetual 4+ cover when they move. on top of the serpent shield.

I would suggest dropping one warwalker, make them a 3 man squad. and using the extra points to grab a farseer. maybe on a bike. (after holo fields, cuz holo fields are amazing)

or you can see if you can drop the wraith knight for two wraith lords w/ SL and starcannons. they are 20ish more points than the knight I think. but its 2 targets, you don't get the suncannon though. but you can give the lords glaiveswords as well as the SL/SC weapons.

I don't see to much anti tank in this list. I would say that you try to replace the Wraithknight with 2 Wraithlords w/2 Brightlances each so then you are having 4 lance shots. I run these but they are quite pricey.

Also, what army are you teamed with?

I suggest replacing your spiritseer for a farseer. He can provide much needed support for your shooty units as your spiritseer would only help the wraithknight. You're 30 points over if you take a farseer, but it will be worth it. Consider changing a ww SL with an EML those things could help out alot.

Yeah I would also grab EMLs on WWs. Much more versatile and would make up for the lack of str 8 in your list. If you have the points left for it, grab flakks as well so you can take a shot at those pesky helldrakes you will surely encounter. Holo fields make the Wave Serpents even more annoying.

To be honest I would just replace the knight with a lord and grab all the necessary upgrades. Even though Wraithknights won't easily die for sure, but I prefer multiple threatening targets to one.

Don't ever grab EMLs on WW. It's ridiculously expensive. That's pretty much the only reason. EMLs aren't bad at all, they're just not worth their price tag, not when you can have Scatterlaser + Scatterlaser, Scatterlaser + Starcannon, or BL + BL if you have a Farseer to guide for much cheaper. Those are the only options I'd ever consider running on the War walkers and I've been using them for the past half a decade.

Also, I wouldn't replace the Knight. I'd just replace his weapon loudout to stock. That also takes care of the lack of AT you have. This is my 1000 point list for tournaments:

yes what the heck. emls are crap. super expensive, and not that great. flaks are abslotue garbage.

get lances, or keep scatters, your choice.

@ Everyone: I know i lack on high armour anti tank. I am hopping my partner can bring in some anti tank if not as long as its not armour 14 around i should be able to crack it with either the wraithknight or outflank warwalkers.

@Holofield people: 1 Holo field is 15 pts, to get 2 will cut down alot on the army. i could drop a warwalker and make one big squad but then i can only shoot at one unit a turn, if i have 2 i can possible blow up 2 tanks or force pinning checks on squads (Shrunken Cannons). I run orks and use KFF alot i know even with a 5+ cover save its still very effective and if not i can always make them glances with the serpeant shield. mind you thats if the focus on my waveserpents and not the wraith knight that shoots 3 blast TL.

I figured the spirit seer wont do to much has the ability to help the wraithknight, hopefully i can get some good runes of battle (renewer&jinx)

I like your list as it is now. I would try to bring something to tackle heavy armor in case your unknown ally cannot, assuming that you are able to switch your list up once you know the army you will be paired with.

You also could consider dropping the Scatter Laser on the Wraithknight and go with the default main weapon instead (I forget the name). Then you will have an answer to heavy armor, AND have points for Holo-Fields/whatever.

I thought if everything is going to try and kill it, Plasma, Lascannon, Missle Launcher, Melta weapons. I should have some way to save it, otherwise my army will crumble if they get shot at. If i did drop the upgrades for wraithcannons id have 60 pts so i couild get 2 holo fields and get a farseer instead of a spirit seer

^^^^^^^^^ that's exactly what I was going to suggest. Stock Wraith Knights are the best! And will add in some much needed AT. The Suncannon and scatter laser combo on the knight is good, but too expensive in my opinion when the stock weapons are so good! It means you can keep all four war walkers, and it gives you 60 points to spend.

With those points I think Holo fields are a must. With the remaining points there are two ways you can go. A farseer is amazing to buff the army, but he needs protection. If you put him in a serpent then he has no line of sight due to there being no fire points. If you leave him outside on his own that's an easy first blood and slay the warlord points. The way I would go is to put the scatter lasers back on the war walkers and go for 2 on each. If you do that, then I would consider swapping the spiritseer for an autarch. Gives you the opportunity to outflank the war walkers effectively due to the +/-1 on reserve rolls! For this list I think an autarch is a better bet than a spiritseer, but that's because I'd be looking to outflank with at least one war walker squad.

I dont think Stock Wraithknights without precience is worth it. Its only 2 shots and id probli fail one that for av 14 i still need a 4 which is 50/50. If im going for the best in the army i would make the wraithknight stock and get a farseer so i have prescience and a possibility to fortune.

my plan for the spirit seer is put him out of LOS so he can only see my wraithknight or if i get crummy pyshic powers just throw him in a dire squad.

I have never played with an Autarch if i can get anyone elses opinion

Its not all about the cannons though, He is a Jump MC, he can shoot at what he is hammering towards and then nail it in combat! For 240 Pts he's worth is. For 300 for 3 small blast templates, he's not. Guide or presience isn't needed for him, you'll never keep the seer near enough if he's jumping forward like he should be. And you will also not be able to keep either seers alive long enough if you intend to foot slog them solo. Hence the autarch for the better reserve roll and the ability to outflank the walkers!

Like I said before though, this is just an opinion.
