So, I picked up some Eldar today for a stupidly cheap price. I had no intention of playing them, but the deal was too good to pass up. I figured I might as well pick them up and see how I like playing them and painting them, and I can always flip them for a profit if I choose. I'm going to borrow the codex from a buddy and give it a look through so I can hold off on buying that for now. So with that being said, here is what I have:

Autarch w/ Fusion, Chain, Spider pack)
6 Swooping Hawks (1 Exarch)
5 Reapers (1 Exarch)
5 Warp Spiders (1 Exarch)
8 Fire Dragons (1 Exarch)
10 Guardians
Heavy Weapons Platform w/ Missile

War Walker w/ no guns attached

On to the questions.

1. How would I best go about fleshing this force out to a full force?
2. Without adding anything else, how would I field and play what I have here?
3. I have all of the guns for the war walker. What is the best loadout for one?

wave serpants need Scatter lase + shuriken cannon. get a wraith knight and ~ two wraith lords. and your pretty good, oh, also grab a farseer and some warlock bikers

also, for what you have, 2 wave serpents proxy the scatter lasers, w/ holo shields. put 10 dire avengers in each. Falcon can hold troops I think, put the 5 fire dragons in it. deep strike 5 warp spiders. and 5 man swooping hawks. (read this, they are really nice) Avatar for HQ and guardians w/ scatter laser platform or 2 5 man squads of rangers.

I have an army similar to what you have. Though I have 5 more warpspides (I REALLY love em'), 3 warwalkers and about 10 skorpions in addition to what you have.

As mentioned above, maybe hunt for bits to alter your 2 wave serpent and equip them with Shirken cannon and scatter laser. (if you intend to play in friendly games, I would stop at 2 wave serpent, otherwise you might loose friends quickly. If you are to go in tournaments, you can add a lot more wave serpents to your list).

Since we have a similar army you might be interested to know that what I expected to be my next purchases was one Wraight knight and a Fire prism (which I will try to build so that I can easilly switch between a Fire prism and a Night spinner).

Otherwise, the eldar codex is really nice this edition as everything in it is fun to play and relativelly well balanced.

I usually use a bit of everything and have a LOT of fun with my army. The mobility is awsome.

Some Bitz hunting is definitely in the future. Any excuse to build a wraithknight is a good one. Adding wave serpents is fine here. I played a friendly game the other day with my chaos versus 5 wave serpents and 3 falcons *shrugs*. He offered to take a couple serpents out, but I told him to run what he brung. It turns out that here the most enjoyable players also happen to be the most competitive.

From what you listed:

Fast force:
Autarch w/ Fusion, Chain, Spider pack)

One decision to look into (simplified a lot) is do you want a fast, mobile army, or do you want a more static army?
For fast, you want skimmers and infantry that can move around a lot.
The slower army wants to be tougher, and usually gets more firepower.

To pad out the two basic types:
Fast: Get some Waverider jetbikes for last-minute scoring.
Slow: More war-walkers, keeping them fairly cheap. If you outflank with them, look into Striking Scorpions to back them up.
A jetbike Farseer is usually a good option, in both lists.

One thing you don't have any of is Wraiths. Wraith units are tough, so work well in a slower army. The bigger wraiths can have long range weaponry, and offer cover and AV for foot-based units.
Spiritseers are good as support for most units, with wraiths or not.

I'm leaning towards a fast force. My Space Wolves, IG, and Chaos aren't the most mobile armies so taking advantage of Eldar speed will give me a good change of pace.

I personally run them with one scatter laser and one star cannon each and group the 3 together, I also add the star engine to them. My goal is to find a nice big cover and hide them behind. I move out, fire and move them back in cover. The star engine is there to insure that move. But if I have to cut points for something else, the star engine is the first thing to go.

Actually you have a pretty solid force to begin with.

Honestly your best bet to flesh out in my opinion might be to mod the Falcon into a Wave Serpent or buy one more.

Also a second War Walker wouldn't hurt. Magnetize them to take a few weapon options because they can be useful with a few setups. I run mine with double Brightlance due to the lack of AV14 killing power in my list otherwise. But dual-Scatter, Scatter/Starcannon, Scatter/Shuriken Cannon, and Scatter/Missile are all useful.

well eldars a good race, so if you dont seel them you will do well.
a couple things...

all wave serpents need Tl scatter lasers.
convert falcon to wave serpetn asap. falcons really suck compared to waveserpents.
walekrs can have scatter, or bls. there other combinations, but those are the 2 best imo.
convert gardian squads hw to not be and eml, those are way to expensive.
never run the fragons in a squad bigger than 5, adn never with any upgrades.
you are going to need to get a farseer eventually also if you want to continue eldar.

Originally I was heavily leaning towards flipping them, but now that I've started to really look at what I have and think about how to use them, I'm more and more excited to use them.

Even more so to paint them. I've been trying to figure out something that would make sense to use scorpion green on, and now I have the perfect force to use it. All of my other forces are painted dark and gritty. This will give me a chance to paint something bright that pops.

Converting the serpents to have scatter lasers and the falcon in to another serpent seem to be the first things on the list to do.
After that I'm thinking wraithknight. How do twin wraithknights do?

Well, a single wraithknight is more than I paid for the entire army...

Honestly I need to sell my IG and Menoth. I have zero desire to play either one anymore. And I definitely am not excited about the idea of painting them.

basic? well they start out with wraithcannons, but can be upgraded to suncannons for allot of points.
some pople like sun, others just like to run em stock.
