Just got the Trollbloods book and now I see there is a app that allows people to buy the book digitally. Is there a way someone that has purchased the book get free digital version?

I never heard of a legal digital book, but there is an app called Warroom. Its a list building app, and its free, but you have to buy the faction decks. They're all about $8 and get updated when eratta and new cards get released.
So for $8 you can have all the cards for your faction as long as mk2 is the current edition.

They even just (like last week) announced that you will be able to get the MK1 books on the PP reader too (I presume for fluff and such).

stupid first gen iPad only goes to 5.2...
i have to wait until i upgrade to 4th gen in a few months...
