Hey, I've got this idea stuck in my head, looking for some feedback.

Chaos Sorcerer
Mastery lvl 3
Spell familiar
Chaos bike
MoN

Escorted by
Chaos Bikes
3 strong
AC w/Lightning claw and combi-melta
2x plasma guns
VotLW
MoN

Take a Nurgle psychic power for the 66% chance at a malediction, then roll on telepathy. Give the sorcerer a force axe so the squad has AP 2 in close combat. Leave the lightning claw on the AC to keep initiative. (why there is no "drive by" rule for bikes/jetbikes I don't know.)

Unit is used entirely for flanking purposes. Pick the side most easily destroyed(or most important to destroy) by plasma, and psychic powers, and go for it. Turn 1 turbo boost into cover. Turn 2 unleash maledictions, shooting and charge if the unit was lucky enough to survive. Uses bikes instead of spawn because the squad wants to be unengaged to use witchfire powers. An engaged sorcerer is an unhappy sorcerer.

All reviews/criticism/flames are welcome

Involves chaos?
IS CHAOTIC?!
Has a Psyker?! (On a bike!)

I love it!

Only downside is that is isn't Doomrider =/ But I still like it none the less

Seems good. Just so you have an idea of the opportunity cost here, you could take this flanking unit instead that is similar for the same amount of points:

5 termies with
combi plasmas
lightning claws
MoN
VoTLW

which one is better at flanking? Id personally take the termies.

so the bikes aren't MoN(so majority T5)

seems expensive with no wound catchers

whoops, srry, they are MoN. Fixed now.

extra bikes cost 29 pts a piece...that's a lot for a wound catcher.

This Termie idea has potential...how would you use them?

If you really wanted to outflank you could give the sorc Mos and the steed of slaanesh, Would have to unmark the bikes or make them MoS. Then, well, outflank...

...Flank. Not outflank. Outflank gives him the chance to keep me off the board, or to even make me useless by staying to the center. Flanking allows for a guaranteed turn 2 engagement, as well as choosing where I target.

If I were to go with bikes I'd go with 2 MoN bikes with metlaguns and a combi melta for the sarge. Cheap and effective.

Or if you have less rush in your army and more threats, wander a couple of nurgle obliterators (with veterans of the long war for Ld9) up the field. Remember, if your opponent tries to focus them down you can always go to ground.

You want to avoid over spending on a unit that is not critical to your success.

29?
20+1+6 = 27 right?

Still he would be protecting the plasma guns, which cost 42 points, the champion which costs 59 points

whoops again. its oblits that pay 3 pts per model
that's a good point about the plasma guns. plus it would help with wound allocation. and that's a good point about the other models being 42 pts a piece already. might make the wounds worth it.
