I wanted to try and see if I could do a whole squad in a day. I'm a glacially slow painter, so it was a fair challenge. I had to make a few compromises due to time constraints, but I'm reasonably happy with them overall.

C&C always welcome.

Came out looking pretty darn good man! Did you wash and highlight up on the pants and what not? Or just a really light wash? I've been trying to get my cloth pants on my IG to go through the color scale like that.

It was a bit of a fluke actually - I was originally going to do the cloth black, so it was under coated black, with a couple of dry brushes with greys. I changed my mind, and used watered down purple, just one coat.

Oho, I never thought of a black base dry brushed then a coat of thin paint! I shall have to experiment! Thanks!

When you say a day, how much actual time do you mean? Also, do you mean from on sprue to as you picture, or were they already all cleaned up? Anyway, looking good mate!

Great job. I second Barksdale's question. You inspire me to leave GTA V and get back to a social hobby.

When I get home I'm going to do SO much coke and ---- hot women. It will be like, 'It's 5pm..., time to do some coke and ---- hot women!'

The bodies had been cleaned up. Arms were still on sprue, so from grey plastic to varnished. I've never really worked at that rate before, but it was pretty satisfying, despite the compromises.

Don't think I could do actual marines at that speed though - too much parts, and too much edge highlighting required...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As for actual time, I think I started at 9ish, and took breaks for lunch and supper, and finished around 9ish, so probably around 10 hours all in.

Well they look great! You even had time to drill the gun barrels.

Getting that done in a day is a great effort. They look good and they are ready to battle!!
