Do I need to give them a load of bionics?
Equivalent of servo harness in every squad?
Possessed parts painted to look as though they've been artificially engineered?

Aside from the colour scheme, what else can I add? I've seen the shoulder pads on gws site though £9's a bit much. Can you recommend any other bits that I may not have considered?

Thanks in advance

You could always use the iron hands bits pack, sprinkled throughout the army. Some nice bionic bits in there.

I had the idea (well I saw it on dakka) of using the iron hands pack with a csm squad box to make bionic counts as plague marines for my IW army.

I've a friend thats got IW with bionics as 'counts as' plague marines, his army looks excellent

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

That's pretty much what I did with my Iron Warriors. Very basic IW Paintjob, but I put some reddish weathering powders on them, and tried to make them look tarnished and rusty.

Another interesting source of bionic parts is http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/ They have arms and leg sets that would work well for bionic parts.

Also bionic - or generally teched up heads would also look great at least for the character models and champions.

My first large army was IW and I used a lot of old Warriors of Chaos bits along with any bionic I could get my hands on. The Warriors of Chaos bits gave them a more heavily armored medieval feel with the different axes and swords. I had a “counts as nurgle” squad that I gave shields to make them look like they had breaching shields. My berserkers had double handed weapons and I used the legs of the regular berserkers for greater movement poses. My lord had the Archon swords from chaos fantasy and a heavily modified backpack based off fabuis biles. With the large amount of deamon engine type minis currently in the codex you have a lot of options to build a great iron warriors army.

I'd not even thought of the Warriors of Chaos bitz... damn fool...! Lol.

Thanks for the suggestions, does anyone here have a pic of a 40k Chaos Marine with Anvils bionics?

True Scale them, they'll definitely stand out then.
