Hi, I want to start a fully converted themed army of sisters of battle. A SoB sisters of silence army(pre -heresy), mainly build from dark eldar kits en some SoB mini's. But I before I commit alot of money in the project, I was wondering if there would be hate vs a fully converted army? Would people refuse to play me because it's to confusing to play against? Could you even play in a tournament?
As you may have noticed i'm noobie player. I haven't played in 13 years, but want to come back just because I really like the whole look and feel of the sisters of silence and would like to field such a army.

Would like to hear your opinions on it, or am I just paranoid?

(sorry if my english sucks)

I would love to see and play against such an army. As long as everything is WYSIWYG I don't see too many people having a problem with it.

As long as the army conforms to a certain codex and you keep it fairly obvious what's what, it should be fine.

The only problem I can see is going to come down to what Codex you're using to represent the army. The Sisters of Silence and the Sisters of Battle have absolutely nothing in common other than they're both female.

It's going to be really hard to portray the Sisters of Silence on the tabletop, because they're supposed to be all Blanks, making them not only entirely immune to psychic and warp-based powers, but also extending this nullification around themselves... kind of like the GK ability of Warp Quake, but worse.

There is, though, only 1 Elite Troop from a Codex that represents this kind of ability. It would be seriously unfair to field an entire army of Culexus Assassins.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Allying a rune priest or two would nicely represent the large psychic denial area.

Forge World is close to releasing Sisters of Silence units with their next Horus Heresy books if you happened to want them. They're likely to be high quality and attractive models, judging by FW's other sculpts.

Thanks guys for the advice. Most likely I'll have to proxy immolators and exorcists ( expensive models and rhino's I already have), that shouldn't be a big problem right?

Can't wait for the FW sisters of silence, bet they will be pretty epic. Do you have to buy the horus herresy 2 book for the rules or is it just a fluff book?

So long as you have everything WYSIWYG, I'd play you. Your army would also be legal in any tournament I ran.
