I picked up a could of Vanila Marine Dreadnoughts from ebay at a great price. I figured with a little love and green stuff I could make my own Space Wolf Dreadnoughts.
I started by taking them apart and soaking them overnight in Super Clean. After that I started to add fur with Apoxie Sculpt. I also magnetized the weapons so I could swap weapons between my two dreads and add new weapon options later.
After the fur I started adding other Space Wolf details with green stuff. Adding wolf heads and skulls. I even threw in a little chain on one shoulder.
This Dreadnought came missing the shin guards so I made some out of styrene tube stock and decorated them with more fur and a scroll made of green stuff. I also added sharp point to each toe to give it a Space Wolf feel.
For the close combat weapon I cut notches into the finger tips and added some sharp points to give it a Space Wolf look. I also removed a plastic cable and replaced it with a piece of necklace.
Here is Dreadnought Number 1 Primered
Dreadnought number 2 under went similar modifications but I decided to go for a 'venerable' look by cutting away the front to add a space marine head.
