2k Ultramarines
Calgar-275
Tigiruius- 165
8 man Honor guard w/ chapter banner in drop pod- 270
10 man tac squad w/ flamer and HB in pod- 190
10 man tac squad w/ plasma gun and MM in pod- 200
10 man tac squad w/ grav gun and MM in pod- 200
5 man Sternguard w/ combi metlas in drop pod- 205
5 man Sternguard w/ heavy flamer in drop pod- 165
Dev squad w/ 4 las cannons in pod-185
Dev squad w/ 3 missile launchers in pod- 150

dev squads come in turn one w/ the dev tactical doctrine with the sternguards. this allows the devs to fire normally. then allows the sternguard to re-roll overwatch. (same for devs but they wont be that close) next turn the rest come in with calgar and tig in the honor guard with hoping for endurance and the 4++ invuln but will make do.

If you bring Tigurius on turn 2 he won't be able to cast until turn 3.

hmm. that is true. I guess I will put him in a sternguard squad then. bit risky but I will be dropping down on one side so hopefully he will live lol

I like it. I may try a slimmed down 1500pt version.

I like that it gives you a place to use each of the chapter tactics.

I would suggest trying to find a way to add flakk missiles to the devs but other than that it looks like a fun list.

It's a good list not a fan of calgar though I suppose a counter list is probably tau with early warning overide, eldar wave serpent armies

Oh and you have nothing to deal with flyers.

Calgar is there mostly for buffs. And beating things with his bare fists. I know there isn't much in the way of anti fliers. I suppose I could give both dev squads flak?. I don't see a quad gun working. Or maybe drop a stern guard for a talon or raven?

My 1500pt interpretation would be

Calgar, Tigurius, and 3 man honor guard with chapter banner in a pod.

Dread w/AC and HF in a pod

2x Tac w/ combi on the sarge MM and PG in a pod

Storm Talon W/ AC and SHML

Devs w/ 4 ML w/flakk in a pod

this leaves 10pts

but you could easily bump up some of the squads numbers to reach 2k

I personally am starting to loose faith in sternguard but they could be used in place of the dread. I like seeing Calgar used with honor guard despite being overpriced.

No devastators are snap firing. They have heavy weapons and will have disembarked from a transport which is movement, dev doctrine has no effect on this. As others have stated Tiggy is useless until turn 3 at earliest.

Poor configs on tactical squads.

Combimelta Sternguard are an overpriced suicide unit.

Devs are meh no AA 2 really expensive HQs neither seems to be fully utilised.

Yep. Dev Doctrine can't be used if a unit disembarks

UM dev doctrines make them relentless for one turn.

I advise you read what the devastator doctrine does. It would not give relentless to your devastators on the turn they drop pod in.

I'm worried that your first turn drop won't deal enough damage. You have very little shooting the turn they arrive and few wounds to tank damage. Being so close the opponent they should be able to maximise their fire. Only having 20 models turn one, even with 2+ save isn't much.
