Even though I've learned that 40k is all about shooty stuff I still have a soft spot for planting a choppa in a marines face. I just got a batch of three more trucks on the cheap and decided to put together a truck list geared toward CC and give it a go. Let me know what you guys think.

Plan is to go Flat out Round 1 and hope half the trukks crash into their front lines. Round 2 do some charging and get into melee while Zagstruk and the Vulcha Boys drop in from the skies and do some damage on their rear defense (If they don't fly off the table and kill themselves of course).

Am I expecting to win a tournament with this list... no. Am I expecting to make people a little nervous at a tournament... yes. Is anyone still reading this far into my post... Probably not.

Definitely, definitely not Big Choppas in the trukks. They need a klaw or they are a total waste man.

Battlewagons really need to be taken in multiples - its easy for an army to have enough AT to kill one BW but not to kill 2-3

A KFF is invaluable in a list like this.

Five trukks is a great start- squishy as hell, but with 5 at least SOMETHING will make it to the far side. Plus, ramshackle means more boyz survive when they inevitably explode.

I love combining that with Zaggstruk, for the most terrifying close combat turn 2 ever.

I agree with Dakkamite- the Battlewagon is a clear target, and will draw TONS of fire- and if it dies, footslogging those MANZ across the board is going to be sad and slow... but maybe that's ok? If they're aiming their anti-tank at the battlewagon, more trukks get through... and armor 14 is a total pain for most folks.

I'd tend to agree with him about the PKs, too. A powerklaw is just... so... good.

My recommendation would be to swap out the lootas for 3 PKs and another 2 Kannon unit. That keeps some armor-cracking artillery, gives some more threat the the Boyz.

....and pray to Mork for first turn.

This list is all right but I would but PK on the nobs in the boyz squads and ditch the eavy armour. You don't need boss zagstruck he is not worth the points and a nob with a PK BP will be just as good, and yeah you need another battlewagon and maybe some more lootas for taking down those pesky flyers but other wise it's a pretty good list

I took out a few stormboyz and added some PKs. I'm going to give the list a run in the next few days, i'll let you know how the convoy does.
