Okay I know it is kind of an off the wall list but the idea is the vampires all spam IoN. The vampire lord will try to deploy last and across from the biggest block of heroes the opponent has. I should be able to generate a significant number of zombies and wolves before any combats start up. Once I get into combat my zombies and vampires should be able to keep up ASF. The basic idea of the list is zombies and dogs. I would love suggestions on how I can improve the list or change the list so it better reflects lots of zombies and dogs.

Zombies are like free combat resolution for the other team. Use them to tarpit inconvenient things. Make the most of them by casting raise dead from the center of the board and toss zombies behind their flot but in front of their backline of casters/shooties/warmachines.

Straight deploying zombies are probably good for soaking up random feet of gork and hiding characters in.

Why 3 corpse carts? I could see 2, maybe as a back up, but usually 1 is enough.

Don't die all that much faster than skeletons. Take a mortis engine or two and you won't even notice the difference; other than zombies being replaced and growing to stupidly large sizes.

That vampire lord should murder just about anything...

I had a few questions;

Do you think banners, musicians, and champs are worth it on the zombies?

With my plan to jump the vampires from unit to unit the champions actually seem like reasonable investments. They can challenge the opposing characters and remove them from the fight for a turn. They can also pop back up and do it again next turn basically removing the opponent's heroes from play. This will keep my blender heroes from getting challenged to duels by bigger scarier stuff. I am thinking this might just be worth it for all the squads.

The musician can help rearrange my blocks and give me an edge in a fight or allow me to move around terrain better. Worth 5 points times number of zombie squads? I am leaning toward putting instruments in each squad.

Banners provide combat resolution. Well I will probably "loose" every combat but 1 (the one my blender lords are killing everything in) however it probably doesn't matter. The question is is reducing the amount I loose by by 1 worth the points for banners? I am thinking, no.

Should I put magic weapons on my blender vampire heroes so they can hurt ethereal units?

Is quickblood worth it on the vampire lord when he can get the same effect from the corpse carts?

The idea with the corpse carts is that 2 carts will only just cover the footprint of the number of zombies I should have after a turn or two of neket. The third is the spare for the other two. While the heroes/lord can move mostly freely through the mass of zombies the carts will be trapped in limited channels and so difficult to redeploy.

I think you have the point of this. Zombie units growing to stupidly, excessive sizes and vampire preying on the lowly blood bags.

What happens when you run a unit into a Steam Tank, or Demigryphs or [insert other heavily armoured unit]? I can't see this doing that well with only the Str.5 vamps and lord - who isn't all that tanky putting out the damage.

I only see this list drawing a lot of games and not being much fun to play with/against.

So how about great weapons on the blender heroes and perhaps taking the giant's blade on the vampire lord rather than the anti hero blade? Think of the solution not the problem.

I will then have two attack modes with the blender vamps; S5 reroll to hit and S7.

I can drop quick blood (redundant with corpse carts) and get a giant blade instead of anti hero. Though will that be enough against the more dangerous lords. The vamp lord should hopefully not have to tank much as the champs can accept challenges of anything he cannot murder. I will also allow the zombies to start the fights at the front and the vamps to jump into the unit's depending on if it is beneficial to me.The vamps should never have to fight a fight that they cannot win as I can tarpit with the best.
