In the warp, searching for Marbo

Spoiler:
I've had a Heavy Weapons team kit sitting around my house for almost a year. Mainly, I've played mechvets, so I don't really use HWTs, but now that I have more guardsmen I want to try blobs.

I have about 75 Guardsmen, and was going to try running tanks with guard screen units and HWTs.

The HWTs I currently have assembled:
4x Lascannon
1x Autocannon
1x Missile Launcher
1x H. Bolter

My first thought was to shoot for 6 Lascannons, but the thought that some other weapons might be better plagues me.

What do you guys think I should make out of the kit? I just can't decide.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I decided to take it, and make a lascannon.

I'd say go for the Lascannons, they provide a lot of utility.

Lascannon. The standout choice for IG heavy weapons. Given the relative costs of the heavy weapons, the lascannon is superior to the others.

Autocannon, the extra shot really helps.

Lascannons. Always lascannons.

Heavy weapons that can't seriously hurt AV12+ and monstrous creatures are heavy weapons that you don't need more of. Everything but lascannons are just cheap knock-off weapons that do the job you need heavy weapons for worse.

Lascannons first - they turn HWT's into excellent glass cannons.

I run other weapons too, like Heavy Bolters and Autocannons, as I lack a lot of heavy support against infantry. They help a lot, but the old Lascannon generally does best.

Which ever you take,. don't glue the weapons on the tripod so you can easily switch from lascannons to autocannons to heavy botlers.

Also, make sure the gunner is well positioned so you won't end up with a weapon floating the middle of the base with no one touching.

Lascannons. If in doubt, Lascannons. As Imperial Guard you shouldn't be hurting too much for AP 4 fire.

Build them all as mortars, buy more bases, and use the other weapons to make more HWT's using paper or card or something as a cover over the 'crew' for HB's, LC's, etc.

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive.
Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

Lascannons hand down. With the number of riptides and 2+ armor saves roaming about lascannons are worth it. Plus if you are facing fliers, should you hit one, you'll more than likely make the opponent jink. If not then they'll probably fall to the ground crashing.

Infantry leads the way!
