2 serv squads will have inquisitors, but yes mind-lock means I'll be firing 6-18 (average 12) plasma blasts a turn. Also, unless I missed something the chimera can still function so at least the squad isn't a sitting duck.
Will this army be boring? Possibly, but the limited movement means (hopefully) a faster game. Opposing artillery lines are always trouble : P, but indeed they would be an issue for this list. Automatically Appended Next Post: So solid win today against SM's in football field big guns. The plasma and lascannons kept the power armored goonies (and even the grav cents) in cover, allowing me to move up on the objectives outside my deployment. Rhinos were no match for lascannons, and the lascannons also removed a thunderfire cannon and its operator thanks to "Fire on my Target".
A sternguard filled drop-pod managed to take out the griffon and a chimera, but the guardsmen with flamers and plasma cannons made short work of them.
ironically, deamons might be the big threat for me (seeing as how this is techically a GK list).
