'lo thar
I just got me two boxes 'o bearers and have begun to paint the first
I have based them using black ('cause it's the only one i have), then gone over with Rakarth flesh, then ushabti bone and heavily washed it with athonian camoshade. I then make the boils using averland sunset, washing it with fugean orange and then doting the head with averland again.

I have achieved the skin tone that i want doing this but am unsure how to approach the actual gaping wounds. Any advice on how I could do so would be very helpful indeed (using citadel paints if possible though).

Thanks,

The tallest giraffe.

Citadel paints, washing purple then red in the sores, or just red twice works, then go over it with 'ard coat to make the blood look shiny. Although non citadel I would suggest some tamiya clear red with a bit of clear smoke.

I've done it in the past washing up from a white base with crimson shade, agrax and then crimson again. And whilst is is straying away from the GW only paint option Tamiya clear red gives you a good wet blood effect in the wound (add black/brown to colour blood)

Ends up with this effect.
