SO playing around with land speader storms and came up with this at 2k

Vulkan

2x 5 man LOD with 3x melta

3x 5 man scouts with melta in storms with multi melta
2x 5 man scouts with flamer in a storm with heavy flamer

2x stormtlerns with skyhamer

3x TFC

Tiggy
bare bones tac squad
3x centurion devs with las/missle

So you have a tone of things you can do with deplyment includeing reserving all your troops and just have 3x TFC 2x IC and the cents on the bord hidding and use screyers gaze to keep your troops of and play the mission. or go for an alph strike with all the melta/flamer all twin linked and then the TFC and cents to back you up from range so any thougts?

Dont lett fluff get in the way of a good army list.

I think you're going to have serious problems IMHO.

I have this feeling that the unit just isn't coherent. Doesn't have much substance to it.

Footslogging LotD?
What's Vulkan doing?

Tigurius attached to Centurions is good.
3x TFC is also good.
Stormtalons are excellent in my book.

But the rest feels meh. Don't mean to sound harsh mate, but I'm just not a fan.

lotd can deep strike. deep strike with 3 meltas pointing at back armour. good bye tanks.

guessing vulacan is with centurions to tank wounds.

i like the list, lots of deep striking madness.

all your scorers will be deepstrking close to ebnemy lines so try and keep em alive.

Deepstriking to the rear of tanks? You're asking for mishaps.

I just feel there's not a lot of survivability in the list IMHO.

in fact LOD have to deep strike you have no choice in that and they do get to re role scatter this list is meant to get the 1st shot either because your go 1st and scout move up or you can outflank/ds etc to get the droop on your opponent and with that you need to make it good so lots of anti tank and anit infantry to make the 1st punch a good one. if not just hold most of the list pf the bored for as long as you can and play keep away

I would drop the meltas from the lotd and give them plasma. you don't get the chapter tactics for MC on them and they have ignore cover so 2-3 plasma rapid fire is scary on them.

true but not quite if your read Vulkan again its worded very differently - its says

If He'stan is your Warlord, all meltaguns,
combi-meltas and multi-meltas wielded by models in his
detachment have the Master-crafted special rule.

nothing about chapter tactics in there so it affect LOD and vehicles

Vulkan's power isn't a chapter tactic, it's everything in his detachment.

The only Salamander part of it, is that you're required to use Salamander chapter tactics to get him.
