This isn't an army list, just wondering if this setup with so many points in one unit is plausible
I don't play khorne but I was looking at ways to make the most optimized khorne troop choice, but it seems to be a giant heap of points and HQ's to make it realistic... (and an allied BL taboot)

The primary HQ's are:
Huron for his heavy flamer and warlord trait master of deception
Fabius for his nice instant death weapon, 2+ poison ranged weapon, and most of all enhanced warrior

The allied HQ is
Dark Apostle with a Hand of Darkness and special rules zealot (Hatred is most valuable thing for CC) and beseech the gods

I ran the numbers and If I'm going to outflank so I can put all the HQ's with one infantry choice I'd take as many bodies as possible- 20 to be exact

20x MoK CSM (icon of wrath, CCW, 2x flamers), 81 attack at str 6 on charge= 344 points
while...
20x Zerkers (icon of wrath) , 81 attacks at str 5 on charge=405 points

The CSM will have all the same special rules that the zerkers have, but they additionally have +1 STR, 2 flamers, and are quite a bit cheaper. Outflanking these guys with all the HQ's that have an additional flamer, ID weapons, reroll chaos boons, etc seems to be like a pretty beefy unit that will do some damage. (huron and dark apostle could split off if a very heavy tank needed to be disposed of)

Or is this a ludicrous idea? I just have been seeing a lot of khorne people posting lately and felt the urge to see if I could come up with something interesting

Hey bud. How are they strength 6? Because if that's from enhanced warrior, then it means they're not that much cheaper after all as they have to pay for bile to make them that bit stronger.

Remember also that bezerkers are fearless and won't run if they take some casualties, and that they are WS 5, which doesn't sound a lot but means you are hitting things like marines on 3+ which makes all the difference! The more hits you land the more chances you have to wound...

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them

Enhanced warrior makes them fearless as well, and if bile runs with them, they have FNP...

In 2k games I use bile, and outflank w/ slaaneshi lord with a big blob of slaaneshi csms.

It is cheap, really...and khorny csms will benefit greatly with him and Huron in the pack.

Recommend starting with the landing pad 7" outside the deployment zone, then move/run them right into the opposing line...

I think to make the blob really effective, you need 3-man bike teams turboing behind enemy lines for chaff, or lining up in front of the blob for cover...a crew of spawn barrelling at the opponent would be equally unnerving

Eye of Terror

This blob is fairly plausible and could certainly wreck someone's day when infiltrated. Overall, it has a massive number of attacks, fits with the fluff, and can destroy just about any infantry if used properly.

The main concern I see in using it is over what happens after assaults. Versus a Tau or Eldar army, you are sure to wipe out some unit very early in the game, and would almost certainly face a powerful counterattack after consolidating. They would need some sort of support in order to be effective at this point, I am just not sure what to recommend. Raptors maybe, hoping they come in by round 3? Bikers and Spawn were also suggested, but I think your support for this unit needs to be further upfield to really provide a distraction. Maybe a DP?

The secondary concern I have is with using Bile with this squad. There's a good chance this squad will wipe out a unit and face the combined firepower of the rest of the opponent's army. A question to ask yourself is whether it makes sense to include Bile to get the FNP, or if this might lead to you losing Slay the Warlord. VPs become more important when running smaller numbers of large blob units.

There are some alternate builds to consider. Perhaps, instead of Khorne, you went with Slaaneshi troops with IoE to gain FNP? Perhaps, instead of Huron, you took a Slaanesh lord mounted on a seeker to get infiltrate? I was going to suggest swapping the CSMs for Chosen, but I suppose that would lose the Enhanced Warrior. I wonder if the additional attack could make up for that somehow.

Fabius doesn't give his unit FNP as far as I can tell.

Yes, gives him the special rule. Him, not his unit. Fabulous Bill will have FNP, but the shmucks he's running with won't.
