So what do you all think of this pose? Trying to imitate a thrust move Japanese mech style. Feedback greatly appreciated.

Just a base coat so far, Vallejo model air fire red on grey base with fluorescent red highlights. Looks Orange in the pic but isn't in the flesh.

Cheers for the feedback.

I also want him higher off the base. Currently usings 2 1mm wires into the foot but it is wobbly, thought about a 5mm acrylic rod but can you attach it strongly to the base? What else can I use?

Just turn the head slightly so it faces the direction of the movement.
The pose has great potetnital but right now it looks more like he is falling.

It does look a little like he's just tripped up. Also the thread title left me expecting something entirely different

Yeah, thrusting wraithknight does imply some strange image. With you on the head I will point it up so it matches the lances in direction of movement.

My opinion would be to have both legs angled abit further back and not touching the ground (using a flying stand or wire)

He is off the ground now, tried to angle the feet back as far as I could. I really need a flying stand but what to use and how to make a really strong bond?

I would suggest some kind of terrain or wounded enemy to center the base under the model, or green stuff some thruster flames out the back or something because he does look like he tripped.

Just model him jumping off a rock/wall/pile of dead enemies...
This way you don't need a flying stand and can glue him in place.

I was thinking about some ruins to leap off. Good idea.

The base will need alot on it to not look very plain.

I honestly think he's a little too far forward on the base. Looks cool though!

Brass or aluminum rod can work as a stronger flight stand material.

To get a good fixture to the base, you can build it up with plasticard/putty/whatever according yo your basing scheme, which will give you more depth to drill through and for the rod to affix to.

Ummm...it looks to me like he's prancing more than thrusting. But then, he's an Eldar so that's about par for the course.

With the lack of thrusters on the thing it just looks like it is trippin.

Why not go with the farsight pose.

The legs are in the wrong position, I think you need to have them staggered, like the photo in this link;
