Just got my mitts on the Ogre Kingdoms army book, and after much perusing, I came with a nice little list at 1000 points, just to get started and so I can decide what models to get first.

+ Heroes + (149pts)

* Bruiser (149pts)
Ironfist, Light Armour
* Battle Standard Bearer
Banner of Eternal Flame, Look-out Gnoblar

+ Core + (655pts)

* Ironguts (303pts)
Bellower, Champion, 6x Ironguts
* Standard Bearer
Standard of Discipline

* Ogres (352pts)
Bellower, Champion, Ironfists, 11x Ogres

+ Special + (172pts)

* Leadbelchers (172pts)
4x Leadbelchers

Plan is to stick the Bruiser in with the Bulls and be the main attacking force, while Ironguts go around killing warmachines and big monsters, and the leadbelchers offer supporting fire.

EDIT: Nothing? No help needed?

You MUST have a general and your BSB cannot also be your general.

Boom

When your opponent starts to complain that your army is overpowered and you look down at your Beastmen army book and smile to yourself, your doing something right

Ah. Dammit, new to Fantasy.

Here is a revised version with a Tyrant General

1000pt Ogre Kindoms

+ Lords + (227pts)

* Tyrant (227pts)
Great Weapon (12pts), Heavy Armour (5pts)

+ Heroes + (134pts)

* Bruiser (134pts)
Battle Standard Bearer (25pts), Ironfist (4pts), Light Armour

+ Core + (507pts)

* Ironguts (245pts)
Bellower (10pts), Champion (10pts), 5x Ironguts (215pts), Standard Bearer (10pts)

* Ogres (262pts)
Bellower (10pts), Champion (10pts), Ironfists (2pts), 8x Ogres (240pts)

+ Special + (129pts)

* Leadbelchers (129pts)
3x Leadbelchers (129pts)

The plan is much the same, but the Ironguts now are a bodyguard for the Tyrant, and because I've had to cut my leadbelchers down slightly, they'll be pretty much static.

Its a good start but you need a wizard in fantasy, missing out on an entire phase of the game is too much in fantasy.

Ogre characters are expensive so its hard but i would be tempted to swap the BSB (not essential at 1000 points) and take a Firebelly wizard instead.

then the ironguts can take a magic standard, i suggest the gleaming pendent as its very cheap and grants you a reroll on your first failed Ld test.

All anyone wants in the world is to be accepted. Except me, i don't give a S%@t.

Armies of Mixer
WHFB-Ogres, WoC, Lizardmen, Tomb Kings, Tzeentch Daemons, OnG

40K- Tau,Guard, Nids, SM, BA, GK, IK, DW

The Hobbit/LOTR- Evil, Angmar, Mordor

So, if I nix the BSB, and add a Firebelly to stick in the Leadbelcher's, that's ok?

Isn't the usual setup to have a BSB with Standard of Discipline in the same unit as the Tyrant so the unit has Ld 10? Mediocre leadership can be an issue with Ogres.

I would think about having a butcher/slaughterer instead of a tyrant. Their stats aren't THAT different but one is a wizard. And while you don't absolutely need a wizard, ogre lore is pretty solid on buffs.

I wouldn't give up a BSB for any unit. A reroll on LD is really huge. Give at least one guy a magic weapon in case you face Ethereal troops. Just a 5-10 pointer. You can beat Ethereal with lots of ranks, but Ogres don't have those.

You might scrap the leadbelchers and add some sabertusks as individual units, maybe 3 of them, and one more ogre somewhere. It will give you a lot more options, like redirecting or chasing down war machines, even if it's just to tie them up for a bit.
