Command squads

"The entire squad may take Space Marine Bikes.................35 pts"

Notice how directly below it, it says x points per model.

Nowhere does it say 35 points per model. So can I kit out all 5 Veterans of my Command Squad with bikes for a mere grand total of 35 points?!?!?

Consider this - a normal marine is 14pts, and a biker is 21pts. Seems about par for the course for me.

You basically pay 7 points apiece. Which is what a normal biker pays over a regular dude.

Since you can't buy extra guys for the squad, there is no need to cost the bikes per model

That's the first thing I thought of as well. My poor Ork Bikers.

Because paying 25 odd pts per bike upgrade is just totally reasonable ...

Hopefully they'll adjust that when they redo the codex. If so i'll be able to afford MOAR bikers in my wazzdakka list...

As it stands regular bikers are oh-hell-no for their cost at best, and the much vaunted Nob Bikers are barely pushing lousy...

I run them anyway, because i love my ork biker gangs, but it would be nice to get a proppa amount for the points.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

yeah I really dont get why GW has pushed down the points cost for bikes this drastically on top of them already receiving a buff after the transition from 5th to 6th.

I can only explain it with them wanting to sell a lot more bike models.
