Burbank, Calif. - Nov 7, 2013—The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) and Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ: NFLX) today announced an unprecedented deal for Marvel TV to bring multiple original series of live-action adventures of four of Marvel's most popular characters exclusively to the world's leading Internet TV Network beginning in 2015. This pioneering agreement calls for Marvel to develop four serialized programs leading to a mini-series programming event.

Led by a series focused on "Daredevil," followed by "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist" and "Luke Cage," the epic will unfold over multiple years of original programming, taking Netflix members deep into the gritty world of heroes and villains of Hell's Kitchen, New York. Netflix has committed to a minimum of four, thirteen episodes series and a culminating Marvel's "The Defenders" mini-series event that reimagines a dream team of self-sacrificing, heroic characters.

Movie-verse Defenders? Sold.

Wonder if we'll get Hellcat, Nighthawk, and Valkyrie as well. I doubt we'll get Son of Satan, but maybe a Hulk cameo? I doubt any of the other big names(Beast, Namor, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange) that have been members, though.

I think it may depend on whether or not the Dr. Strange film has come out by then or not.

I think rumors have been around that Dr. Strange will be in phase 3, but take that with a grain of salt.

First thought... WOW, Heroes for Hire, The Defenders (a personal favourite) and Daredevil! Awesomeness incarnate.

Second thought: Why the hell can't we have this on TV?

So yeah, amazing idea, but I'm ever-so-slightly miffed this isn't going to be on normal television, especially with Agents of SHIELD being so good.

Personally, I like that they're showing interest in Netflix series. It shows that they're following trends in how people watch things these days.

Also, I doubt B and C list heroes would be popular enough to carry a "normal TV" series for 4 seasons, much less 4 AND a mini-series event.

Truth...I was giving serious thought to cancelling my netflix sub, nut not now.
