I was getting a game in a the Games Workshop store in Chesterfield and my Exorcist took a weapon destroyed result. Normally this would mean my Exorcist launcher was gone, but the GW employee asked if I had used my smoke launchers yet, being top of turn one I said no, and he said the smoke launchers count as a weapon for the purpose of a WD result. I had never heard of this and after the game I checked the Weapon Destroyed and Smoke Launcher entries of the book and founf no reference to this.

Has anyone else heard of this?

thanks

MOD NOTE :

title altered. Whilst there is a time and a place for an alluring or catchy thread title we do ask posters in the YMDC board to make their thread titles easy to read and understand. Please bear this in mind. Thanks. Reds8n

Nope - not a rule.
Also - prepare for your post to be locked for the unclear title.

Is it wargear? Yes..
Is it a weapon? No.

By the sound of it this GW employee means Searchlights should also count as a weapon -.-

That way,then left

Most GW staff I've met were fairly awful with rules, maybe because they had to dumb down the game so often in demos?
Anyway, always check the rulebook. This one's wrong as far as I can see

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
