I have been wanting to include some allied IG artillery in a Chaos list and there are two variants that I am thinking about running one Slaaneshi that spams Blastmasters which will form a gunline with the artillery all behind the Aegis.

The Nurgle variant will play more aggressively with the Rhinos and the Lord and Spawn rushing forward together while the artillery stays behind the Aegis.

Which list do you think would be more effective? Do you have any comments or criticisms that would improve either variant or the IG allies?

Slaanesh Variant

3x 10 Noisemarines - 720

I would choose the Nurgle variant because while all Space Marines are tough, the Nurgle Chaos Space Marines are tougher. And you will need that durability to distract the enemy from the real issue; all of the artillery bombarding them from across the map!

Or you could use the Slaanesh version to form a gunline and force your opponent to come to you. Unfortunately the Slaanesh version doesn't have a way to grab late game objectives. If you could find a way to give the Inf platoons chimeras or the noise marines rhinos to grab objectives, you might be ok.

If you were going to take the slaneesh variant I would suggest splitting your noise marines into 5 man squads with 1 blastmaster each, so you would have 6 units, that way you can easily split fire and move a couple of small squads around late game to grab objectives if you need to.
