White Scars CT
*************** 1 HQ ***************
Librarian
- boltpistol
- force sword
- Space-Marine-Bike
Command Squad on space marine bikes
- Apothecary
- 4 Veterans with Grav Guns
*************** 2 Troops ***************
Tactical Squad
5 Space Marines w. Bolters
*dedicated transport
- Razorback with twin-linked Lascannons
Scout Squad
5 Sniper Scouts
Total: 500 points
So yeah, there you have it. My 500 point army.
I got 5 Space Marines inside a Razorback that keeps moving 6" towards an objective per turn and shoots its 360° turret TL-Lascannon at whatever battle tank or transport(s) my opponent will be fielding at this points level. The Sniper Scout squad guards the home objective - they've got 36" range compared to 24" range bolters, so I don't expect them to move much and yet I think they will still be able to fire at something.
My main firepower comes from the HQ unit sporting 4 Grav Guns (12 AP2 shots) against MEQ, TEQ (if someone is ridiculous enough to field those at 500 points level) and the odd MC that might pop up. The unit has 7 wounds in total (5 from the command squad and 2 from the Librarian), all of them Toughness 5, 3+ saves, 4+ jink saves in case they are hit with AP3 weapons and 5+ FNP saves if they fail either one of these. Against light infantry I got 10 twin-linked BS4 Bolter shots at 12" plus the Librarian's psychic powers (that pyromancy flamer can come in handy). Despite overwatch if my squad gets stuck in cc, I got the Force Sword and can Hit & Run the next turn to disengage. They all got S5 HoW hits if they charge the remnants of a unit to finish them off and also never have to worry about difficult or dangerous terrain.
What do you think?
I thought about a 5 man barebones Bike squad instead of the Tactical Marines in the razorback but for that I would require a costlier Captain instead of a Libby and, while gaining a wound in my HQ unit and better cc-ability, he would have no ranged psychic powers and I'd also lose my Razorback's tl-lascannon.

no one else replied, due to them having difficulty with finding faults, i really like the list IMHO and would have trouple with your deathstar at this point level, any above it could be dealt with but you would have more support

I also thought about removing the Razorback and taking a Whirlwind to nicely complement my anti-MEQ/MC HQ unit and add some cover-ignoring anti GEQ goodness, a combination of which can quickly sweep any 500pt. enemy force from the battlefield. Especially when I then still have enough points left over to give my Librarian an Auspex to make the cover saves the entrenched enemy may be taking against my grav guns 1 worse.
However, this would make me lose my only real anti-tank weapon and also expose my tactical marines and also make them slow, severely hampering my chances to capture a 2nd objective. However in this case I can use my Scout Squad's infiltrate ability to get them as close as possible to the midfield objective while my 5 marines guard the home objective.
Either way, the 2nd list would strictly adhere to the "offense is the best defense" motto - if I can simply sweep the enemy's infantry from the field, thats also a battle won.

I like the first list more.
Whrlwind can be nice at this point level but I wouldn't risk it since that lonely. Tac squad comes easy first Blood quickly enough.
Speaking of which, so can RB if you're not careful. Keep it in the backfield, away from his AT-weaponry for a while and go get that midfield objective at T3/4.
It's random to see command squad at this point level and that is a hard unit to compete with and destroy.
A good list and my Blood Angels would have very little to counter it with
Except for Vindicators. Always hate Vindicators.

Haha yeah, as a BT player I've actually created a 500 point list that squeezes in a Vindicator and a drop pod bearing my HQ and cc-marines into battle.
I think that list would be a good counter to mine above - the drop pod will land right next to the Razorback or Scouts and unload the meltagun-bearing crusader squad, while the Vindicator will fire at the Command Squad on bikes.
On the other hand if this list's Command Squad is placed defensively, my incoming drop-pod wouldnt be able to do much at all before its contents get vaporized by the grav gun salvoes, in which case I'd have to completely rely on the Vindicator to wipe them out first (which isnt that easy either, as the command squad still has their 4+ cover saves and 5+ FNP and that leaves the Razorback free to ourflank my Vindicator and fire its TL-Lascannon at it)

The only improvement I could suggest would be to take a space marine captain on bike with the shield eternal for tanking wounds instead of the Libby, making your bike squad even harder. But apart from that looks awesome man!

I like it a lot actually, though I'd want the Tactical Squad to have a Flamer. Obviously your points are all being used fairly efficiently already so there's no way to squeeze it in as a vanilla SM. Well done sir!
