Hey guys! I know our beloved Angels of Death have taken a pounding in the 6th, but I cannot get away from this army and i'm not willing to jump the Tau/Eldar/Necron bandwagon as I am a for fun player and so is our group. So with that being said, we're having a just for fun tournament within our gaming group (10 of us) for bragging rights 1500 point tournament. Here is my list I will be bringing for the tournament, Nobody can switch lists for the duration of our tournament.

HQ - Barebones Librarian (will more than likely be hiding all game)

Elites - 3 Fragioso Dreadnoughts with 3 Drop Pods

Troops - 10 Assault Marines (2 meltas, power fist)
10 Assault Marines (2 meltas, power fist)
5 Death Company (1 power fist, rest bolt pistols and chainswords)
1 Death Company Dreadnought

Heavy Support - Stormraven Gunship

Basically, the plan is this. In my first turn I drop 2 Frag Dreads to roast scoring units/infantry and take attention away from the Assault Marines jump packing/running across the board. HOPEFULLY in the next turn on 2, my Death Company Storm Raven (yes I'm doing a Death Company Storm Raven ) flys in and Skies of Bloods the Death Company and their Dread straight into close combat, Potentially with another Frag Dread if the dice are rolling with me. This isn't really an objective scoring list for me, its a blitz list with Dreads in your face turn 1, with blood thirsty Assault Marines flying up turns 1-2 and getting into assault. I'd like to kill every scoring unit they have by turn 3. Thoughts? Thanks in advance guys.

I have seen all the evil that the galaxy harbours, and I have slain all whose presence defiles the Emperor. I have seen what you will see. I have fought what you must fight, and I have slain what you must slay... so fear not and be proud, for we are the sons of Sanguinius, the protectors of Mankind. Aye, we are indeed the Angels of Death."

one thing. consider a reclusiarh to go along with your DC for those rerols (and is pretty cheap as well)

also, if your running assualt squads, drop the power fists for a sang priest or two if possible. its only worth giving PFs or Power axes to the sang priests tbh. Sgts. just get challenged out

I can't include any priests as all my Elite slots are consumed by Dreads :( I agree with the PFs on the Sergeants tho good call. So maybe drop those from the ASM squads, and upgrade the Libby to Reclusiarch and put him into the Storm Raven with DC? And with the remaining points I can at least give the Sergeants melta bombs in case I need them?

But I loooooove Fragioso :( I don't think the Priests will make or break me on this list. I play mostly against fricken Tau and Guard and Eldar, so if I can get into CC I basically win. Except maybe against the Eldar, i'm not sure.

the priests against those armies usually give you a 5+fnP which lets you get your infantry into CC with slightly less casualties.

I could fit 1 SP with a JP but no PF in if I took one regular Dreadnought with twin linked heavy flamer, and a heavy flamer with a DP. Downgrading Reclusiarch to a barebones Librarian would put me at exactly 1500.

I have no idea how I could do that, unless I wanted to strip off all my meltas from the ASM and Melta Bombs. That would be tough for 1500 points.
