Subject: Two questions regarding Warlord traits.

Firstly, can Warlord traits continue to have an effect even if the Warlord has been killed? Most Warlord traits specify that they only work 'while the warlord is alive' or within a certain distance of the warlord, but Conqueror of Cities seems to have no such restriction.
Secondly, how do warlord traits (and similar effects) that affect units within a certain distance work when the model in question is embarked on a transport or inside a building? Are they always measured from the transport's hull unless otherwise specified?

BRB FAQ:
Q: If your Warlord’s Warlord Trait confers a specific ability to a unit or units in your army, is this ability always immediately lost when the Warlord is killed? (p111)
A: Yes. Further, if the Warlord Trait conferred a special rule that allows an unusual method of deployment from Reserves (such as conferring Infiltrate to allow a unit to Outflank) that special rule is immediately lost and the unit must deploy from Reserves in the normal fashion.
Seems slightly counter-intuitive, but there you go...
for 2), You measure from the hull.

Only warlord rules that persist after he dies are ones that modify the FOC or put a unit in reserves at the start of the game to outflank/infiltrate. And thats just because wtf would they do if this did cancel them out? Units moving in to flank wouldnt magically go "Uho, boss died, lets go in from behind our forces now even though were already in position to flank" lol.
All other rules go byebye, as per the FAQ listed above.

I think you need to read the FAQ again. If the warlord let them outflank and he died before they came on they can't outflank anymore and have to walk on.

can a warlord have two traits: the one you roll for on the table and one specifically written in their profile?

The Trait listed in their profile replaces the roll ( BRB Page 110, Special Characters - Warlord Traits).

To be sure. This only applies to warlord traits doesnt it?
Bran Redmaw has an ability to let one Grey Hunter squad use outflank with behind enemy lines (like wolfscouts). This ability isnt a warlord trait and therefor not affected. Isnt it?

Correct, the FAQ about warlord traits specifically has no effect on non-Warlord Traits
