At the moment I play death guard, however I have been looking into Thousand Sons and I an thinking about switching. Here is an 1850 list i have come up with and would like some critique on it.
Primary

Ahriman

Thousand Sons (7 units, Rhino, Champion melta bombs)
Thousand Sons (8 units, Rhino, Champion melta bombs)

objective game
take portalglyph on the herald and toss him behind the aegis with my backfield objective ave pump pink horrors out to camp the objective, put the other 2 heralds with the groups of 10 and have each group follow and support a Sons squad, put ahriman with the 7 sons and run them up with the 8 squad to midfield while providing support/tank cracking from the oblits, when the drakes come in prioritize taking out enemy backfield infantry to clear the objective and move ahriman up with sons if rhinos ate alive.

Liking the list for the most part, always liked the T-sons fluff ( next to nurgle, naturally ). Sadly, I think you can only take 1 allied herald. The 4:1 herald hq option is only if daemons are the primary detatchment. Other than that, may want to use the extra points for some more troops to hold objectives whilst your Sons tear the opponents apart.

Consider using Screamers and a Disc/Level 3/Grimoire Herald. There have been games where my Rubricae don't even take fire in the first couple turns thanks to the ultra threat of the Screamers, whether they have 2++ up or not.. The Disc Herald is great for Thousand Sons because he is a force multiplier. Prescience on Thousand Sons really helps them out when you need a critical Rapid Fire and Scryer's Gaze ensures that your Drakes and/or Outflanking units (if any, thanks to Master of Deception) arrive.

Im just torn right now, I love the fluff for both Nurgle and Tzeentch. I think i would have alot more fun playing Tzeentch but im afraid that a Psyker heavy list just wont be up to snuff especialy since nids are coming up, expecting tons of shadow in the warp in tournaments.

Expecting tons of shadow in the warp is no worse than expecting enemy flying circus lists or actual Fatescreamerstar.
Tzeentch theme is very rewarding. give it a try at least with proxy minis.
