Where is Wayland Games situated? My girlfriend went in to pick some stuff at me a few months ago, and said nothing was laid out and could only find paints. I'm hoping to pop in tomorrow, Is there as good selection as on the web store? And is it apparently obvious where to go?

Yep easy to find just opposite monkey business if you have kids and kow where that is

They have a gaming venue named Tabletop Nation where you can walk in and pick up your orders. The gaming's pretty good down there too.

Its in a town in southern Essex called Hockey; you have to ask the people at the till to go and fetch your items from the warehouse if you've made an order which is probably why you girlfriend didn't find your stuff.

Nope you can just walk in and buy its what I do. As their online sales seem ropey as anything.

How far from Romford is it?

It's just north of southend so I would say about 20miles

I would say, if you are after GW stuff do not go down there without making a order first, the stuff on the shelves is lacking massively, after going to a few other indies the stock at TTN Wayland is far behind them. Its not a dig at them just a observation.

From Romford you want the a12 then a130 then come off near the retterdon turn off iirc, about 30 miles I would say.

Interesting you should say that MarkyMark, another independent I've been too recently was lacking in GW stock on their shelves (like.. down to a couple of boxes!)

Although TBH if you just want GW you're better off going into a GW store. For everything else, Wayland is pretty mega you can quite easily spend a couple of hours looking around at the mass of different stuff they have on the shelves there - possibly the biggest wargaming 'super store' in the UK now?

Went today and got the bones of what i needed but wasn't too impressed. Was slightly annoying that there was only one chap working there, so wouldn't go behind the screen and get me a few of the things i needed! Didn't actually see any GW models.

Which store was that Pacfic, out of interest?. Went to Dark Sphere for the first time the other day and man, was that placed stocked! was in the gaming room so they probably use that as their warehouse section too but it was full to the rafters.

Come off the A127 North at Rayleigh Weir then just follow that to Hockley, left at the big pub in the high street then 300yrd and the industrials estate it's on is on the left.

Then head straight in and hit the bar!
