HEY GUYS!!!!!!!!!!

in 2014 my local GW store is doing a tournament where you buy a battleforce and every month you buy a new squad. i already have lord commissar and 30 guardsmen so ill be 2 months ahead

any ideas?
dont like veterans
dont like sentinels or flyers
like hordes of 30 guards
like leman russ's

ill come up with a few lists soon but any more will be a help thx

Are forgeworld rules allowed, if so I would say run a full Leman Russ list

I believe creed is to expensive for 1500 pts. You have to really have a lot of units for him to give orders to in order to make him effective. Lord commissar isn't a bad choice to keep the guys held together.

I would also suggest adding heavy weapons or special weapons to the IG blobs. Hws are very bad so the only way hwt's are good is by attaching them to infantry squads.

Also if you run blobs make sure you have plenty of commissars to hold all those guys together.

Try typing up a list so we can help plan an actual army out for you.

Are you planning on using just a standard bare battle tank? I would suggest using other variants as the battle tank isn't great. The vanquisher with LC/PC is a great tank. The exterminator isn't bad either with heavy bolters all around or LC/MM.

no, I feel creed and sgt color kell can work well 1500+. just make sure you have lots of infantry lol. (creed works well with semi melee blobs with For Cadia!)
