I was thinking about an upcoming game today, and while going over my opponents it occurred to me that the vast majority of them have at least two armies. So my question to you dakka, is how many factions do you own? Do you regularly play them all? I only have two myself (Cygnar and Skorne), but there are lists and 'casters that interest me from all the other factions, excluding trolls and minions.

I have everything but Skorne, Ret, and Convergence.

And even then, I own a jack and unit for Ret.

Everything for Circle save a Woldwrath and Razorwing Griffon (for now, getting them eventually). I have tried Mercenaries and Cygnar in the past, only to eventually sell them off. So at this point one, though eying a smaller faction like Retribution, Covnergence or Minions for a bit of a "hell of it" thing.

And stuff.

Just the one (Cygnar), not including an assortment of minions and mercs.

I own playable armies for Skorne and Menoth

I also own eNemo because he is a badass

I won Cygnar but I would like a Skorne army sometime.

Everyone I know who plays with any regularity has at least two armies.

My main two are Cryx and Cygnar.

But I have a 35 point list of Menoth that is all painted. I had Khador as well, but traded that to my brother when he wanted to start a Khador army.

I have gathered enough circle to do a OK 35 point list and still be able to switch things in and out.

I have the Legion two player box (I picked up the entire two player hordes box for about $20) and an extra heavy beast kit but none of it is put together.

I will probably pick up Convergence at some point just because it looks cool.

IMO having a bunch of extra armies helps to learn the game faster as knowing what others have and can do is important. It is also handy when a friend wants to try the game out and I have more than one army. But probably the biggest reason I have so many things is because I love to paint but get tired of painting the same army over and over.

I have all the battle boxes but Khador and Menoth. I do have a con-exclusive Khador figure. So Menoth is the only faction I don't have at least one model.

My Ret faction is the most expansive containing most of the line.

Just the one ATM - CoC, but I want to get an army for Hordes too.

200+ points of Cryx
20+ of Khador
80+ Minions (Gators and Pigs)
40+ Convergence

Only gators and Cryx can field fully painted 50+ lists. Khador has a battlebox painted, and Convergence is on the table right now.

For those that have multiple factions, how long did it take after starting your first faction to pick up a second, and was it the polar opposite of the faction you started with? I went from Cygnar to Skorne in about a month (although i still play both), since cygnar 'jacks didn't have enough face-punching power for me.

Fairly quickly. 3-4 months. Needed a second battlebox to teach people the game.

I have three.

My original army Menoth fell by the wayside, I started with them as I loved a few key models which made up my list (Harbinger, Avater, Vilmon) but as I got further invested in to them I didn't care as much for more pieces, I probably have around 100 points to choose from but I think I'm mostly done with them for now as I am five models away from having them all painted.

I have a lot of mercs, I originally got most as ace support pieces then just kept getting things here and there and now have around 60/70 points worth. Only played two games as Highborn though.

My main faction is now Cygnar, the more I look in to things the more I like the different way they can be played. I have my 35 point list to go forward with but am really excited to work on my second tournament list in the coming months, I don't have many casters at the moment but have over 100 points a and am getting a fair bit for christmas.

I'd like to get a few little bits from different factions, I really like almost all the Hordes factions and just cannot decide and want to give Retribution a shot at some point too.

The answer is yes.

My main army is Cryx. Playing for eighteen months and still not a single painted model.

Had my first game with Legion this week and hoping to pick up Skorne in the New Year.

I´d like to play Ret, Mercs & Cygnar too... But as long as I get to play only 2-4 matches per week I hesitate to get another faction...

I started with Cygnar. But it is a tough faction to learn (at lest for me). I won a Cryx battlebox as a doorprize a few months after starting and played with it and loved it. My birthday was a couple months after that and I got a bunch of cryx stuff that really expanded my army. Cryx is still my largest and favoritest army, but Cygnar is really close. But Cryx is much more my play style and I have a lot more experience with them, so when I want to do tournies or whatever I play them. But I really just like Cygnar so play them often in freindlies.

I have:

Approx. 250pts of Khador,
approx. 100pts of Retribution,
approx. 100pts of Legion
50pts of Llaelese resistance Mercs (Highborn lead by Ashlynn)
approx. 50pts of CoC
approx 50pts of Blindwater.

Started with 4, Circle, skorne, menoth, and khador.. Got rid of the menoth and quite possibly the skorne.. I have just about every model they put out for Circle with just a handful of figures.. I am currently building a few 50 pt lists in khador to have fun with.. I really dont think they will grow to as large as my circle collection..
