That looks hilarious. Will take some stopping. I just worry if your opponent has lots of large blasts going on you could be exposed to 2 turns of shooting without much long range firepower of your own.

yeah. well as long as its not str 6 blasts I get a FnP!! lol XD. (its funny cuz there really isn't any blasts that are not str 6+ bar nad launchers or MLs)

looks like fun, could see this list getting basically tabeled by a hell hound squad or basalisk squad but agaisnt non- ig there isn't a ton that can lay enough hurt fast enough to prevent you from eternal meleeing them off the board.
consider taking creed instead of straken and blobing your infantry squads puting azreal in there and then issuing for the honor of cadia. watch your enemy cry himself to sleep in a crushed pile of his models for losing to a cc guard list. [in terms of mass lol factor bring a priest too]

I don't want to be one of 'those' that say, 'well this list can beat that'... but I honestly often run 3 flamestorm/hf baals that will roast that formation to goo like marshmellows over a fire, and after getting in range and roasting, the surviving melta guns will only be able to target one of the 3 in return. I only say this to advise putting something shooty in to deter and counter the baals. A couple of melta vet squads shooting from chimeras will do that job very nicely, or plasma vets getting side armour.

Something tells me that 3 flamestorm baals is nowhere near a common occurrence, though. Nothing wrong with pointing out how a list might have troubles with something, but it should be a reasonably common thing or else there's not too much sense to prepare for extremely specialized opponents.

That's true. Although there are baal like equivalents that will do the same job. A chimera for thar pcs would go some way to countering them.

Apart from practically auto-losing against Riptides, competent Wave Serpent spammers, and anyone able to for the large part evade you and put out enough shots (so basically any Kabalite based DE army as well) its fine.
In all seriousness, power blobs are dead and have been for a long time. Regardless of the 4+ invulnerable, you know what happens with hordes in this edition? You get two choices.
Option A) You spread out your models to avoid taking horrendous losses from template weapons. Instead, you lose 3'' of models a turn if you're lucky from the front (and if you have more than two braincells you won't throw your 220 point 4+ invulnerable and fearless generator at the front even for the 2+/6+++ as that's an absurd risk and waste) and then you never charge. That's not even considering overwatch.
This issue is amplified by the fact that you have very easy to kill/wound T3 Guardsmen. Even the weakest of the weak weapons like complementary heavy bolters are very effective against them.
Even worse, you have to conga-line the entire group to avoid getting shafted by even a single model wading through a patch of elevated dirt. Good luck with that.
B) You hold them tightly together to avoid losing ground. You subsequently get ripped to pieces by pie plates and templates, unless you're lucky enough that your opponent didn't actually bring any. Even then, if your opponent gets in range his potential damage he can inflict with any single unit's shooting attacks is increased exponentially.

Read over your codex a little more some of these rules you have a little backwards and off. For one it's 3d6 and pick the highest dice. So if you roll a 3,3, and a 4, then the farthest distance to be moved is 4"
Also reread how blobs work. Only the platoons infantry squads can blob up. So the pcs and ccs cannot join the blob. Sws and hws cannot join the blob.
Medics are terrible to take on pcs or even on ccs because s6 still insta kills whatever it is and it's only a 5man squad. Kitting the pcs or ccs out for melee is also bad. It's a 5 man squad, it will get shot up before it reaches assault and as most of the guys are tough 3 they will be wounded easily.
Drop the commissar in the pcs, he is only needed in an infantry squad when you blob them up.

No, you HQ has to be from the HQ section. When you go under the troops section it says that if you want to take a platoon that you need to have 1PCS, and 2 Infantry squads. It says anything with an "*" can only be taken in the platoon.
It also says what can be taken, like the infantry squads 2-5. this means you have to have 2 but you can take 3 more for a total of 5.
It really helps if you read over the codex a couple of times.

Yeah I know the thing for platoons. My platoons are legal barring HQ joining. I have read it but its a lot to remember and it can get a tad more confusing than my other dexs
