Ok, I am just curious as to which army has the more powerful psyker. I play Chaos and I love my Sorcerer of Tzeentch but I cant help but wonder how the Loyalist counter part holds up. What are some of the pros/cons of librarians and sorcerers? Which has access to better spells? Any differences in wargear options? Are there 'types' of librarians oppose to sorcerers of Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh?
I look forward to hearing from all of you

Generally, CSM sorcerers have access to more spells and less failures with said spells.
Marked CSM sorcerers are handy, though require you to get at least 1 spell from the god powers section.
In terms of named psykers, SM have the better one, and the CSM one is basically worse than a standard sorcerer.
They generally get the same wargear, but CSM has spell familliars, which, you know, are good.

Honestly I'd never mark a Sorcerer, our God-specific power tables are quite bad, the only one I feel is worth considering is Nurgle. My suggestion is to either go unmarked or use Nurgle + Bike to get a juicy T6, which allows you to avoid Instant Death from all those nasty S10 weapons. Which is quite cool if you consider that your force weapon can grant you ID, this can help you win some challenges with stronger opponents

Agree with Diablix, marked Sorcerors must choose 1 power from the lacklustre codex tables. Natually Loyal Librarians can access Divination because "reasons" so I'd say for that reason alone Loyalists take the cake here.

Actually the SM libbys cannot take divination.
With the new relics the CSM sorcerers can become extremely powerful. They can also get up to ML 3 and 4.
Excluding the named SM characters the sorcerers are stronger casters but have less access to useful units to stick with.
Named character wise the SM chief libbys are ridiculous and make eldrad and arihman cry in their pillows. Fateweaver is still better though.

Tiggy from the UM is the only 6ed SM codex libby that can take divination.
The FW characters have a few that can take divination, FW Mantis Warriors CT allows their libbys to take divination, and DA and SW definitely can.
