Hard to believe he didn't hide his suits turn 1. Cant kill what you don't see so hopefully he didn't die unnecessarily. Riptides could have charged the Farsight bomb?

I thought I had hid them well. One Broadside was able to see and SMS doesn't care if your hidden or not. Weight of fire dropped the squad.

I'm just surprised the Triptide player didn't take at least one Iontide. One well placed blast would have killed half the squad with Str 8 ap 2.

My two cents.

I was going to watch this whole video. Made it a minute in before I saw you were using forge world. Then I lost interest.

Excellent battle between 2 top armies. Wondered how it would have turned out had your opponent not made the mistake of running 4 HQ's.

IMO, the Farsight-bomb is arguably one of the nastiest Tau builds if done right. If I were to play Tau competitively, I'd run a triptide Farsight-bomb Taudar list. It has the potential to be just as nasty as the seer council deldar builds currently.

I think he might have Either won 3-0 on secondary or 2-1 depending if Shadowsun survived. Then again I would possibly had another Crisis suit team for the price of that errant 4th commander. I kind of want to get in another game similar terrain setups and lists with both our errors fixed his more minor and frivoulous mine being the broken FOC. I personally have been playing Tau since the very end of 4th so I find myself relying more on Crisis Suits as they are what drew me into the army so I'm stoked and shocked at the nice jump in power the army has. The bomb really does have the potential to be as devastating if not more than the seer star being that the squad with target locks can engage multiple units in one go. What it makes up for it's somewhat lack of resilience it makes up in it's lethality.

If you weren't such a stickler you would have noticed that besides soak up fire for one turn it did nothing for the rest of the game all it did was keep me alive for one more turn.
