My brother just jumped back into Magic in a big way. (We haven't collected since Apocalypse)
He buys a box every other week so more cards seems like an uninspired gift.
Any suggestions of cool peripheral items he might like? Life trackers
Deck boxes etc.
Thanks.

What colours does he play? Go to The Dice Shop and search for "gemini d20". They should have dice for every combination of the magic colours. It's a fun little gift.

Maybe a few prints of the card art ? I seem to recall they are sold by MTG.
After that you've got deck boxes - card sleeves - card books - collection binders - play mats - more cards (you can never have enough cards; ))

There's a bunch of sleaves and playmats on sale at Miniature market (if you're looking for affordable stuff)

Yeah, I think sleeves and playmats are good gifts for MTG players. Find out what some of his favorite cards or themes are and there are some really cool playmats.
You could also look at life/poison counters, tokens, or other materials to help him stay organized like deck boxes, binders with card sheets. If he's really into it, MTG paraphernalia and merchandise is always an option.

Fantastic suggestions. Art prints and Mats never entered my mind. Those themed dice are a great idea too.
He has all the shields/card pages he'll need already.
Any suggestions on Deck Boxes? Are there any with artwork on them? I only seem to come across mono-colored ones.
Thanks for your help so far

He did just start playing again... a preemptive strike might be warranted...

The Holiday Gift Box looks like a pretty nice little deal. It does come with four packs and 20 lands, but is also an organizer box with dividers, labels, etc. For $20 (or lower online) it's a pretty wallet-friendly price point.
There are deckboxes and playmats with all kinds of art out there. And sleeves with all kinds of art, amusing logos and slogans, etc. If he plays with sleeves (as most do, nowadays), then he can always use more.

I shop at Starcitygames.com, they are quite reputable and have a great selection of everything magic. I just typed "deck box" into the search engine and got a couple pages of results. There's some cool looking stuff there.

I just wanted to thank you for all the suggestions. They were most helpful.
As he frequents these forums I'm not at liberty to discuss details of what I went with.
Though Axe sprays do make excellent stocking stuffers
