Subject: is the boyz miniset worth the money?

Been Around the Block

Hi guys, I was wondering the 4 models boyz set, is it worth it. As if I bought 3 set of it, I get 12 ork slugger boyz. Bit if buy the normal boyz set, I get 10 boyz, 1 nob. I can choose other to allow them to have spures or shoots.

Depends. If you want a big unit of Slugga boys then I'd buy the multipart kit and fill the rest in with these guys if you are looking to save some cash.

These guys are all but indistinguashable from the multi-part orks, and are nice sculpts (if a bit limited) and a good way to get ork numbers up fast.
The other thing you can look up if you want dirt-cheap sluggaboyz is the AOBR orks, they're oop now but come up on the web very often, and are the same models as the 4-boxes, but usually work out cheaper and you can get some Deffcoptas or Nobs thrown in as a job lot fairly frequently.

Second that, AOBR is the way to go. Ebay is full of the stuff.
The only reason not to do so is if you want your boyz shooty, since both packages (AOBR and minipack) are of the slugga-type, afaik. If you want shootas, the regular boyzmob it is.

I tried the same for IG.
If you have enough bits to convert the 10/11 box to specials, pad out the unit with the 4-man box.

I usually get a pair of those (or some AOBR boyz, but they are becoming increasingly rare) whenever I buy a box of lootas. Reason? It's kind of sad to see the burnas go to waste, and a hobby knife can work miracles.
