I put together a White Scars list and I was wondering how strong this list is compared to other builds in the SM codex. I want to know if it is possible to make a more competitive list with any of the other chapters, and would this list do ok in a tournament setting?

HQ
KorSarro Khan
+ Moondrakkan

Troops:
4 Bikers

I would switch the special weapons in the attack-bike accompanied squads to plasma guns - currently it seems like you will struggle against vehicle-heavy armies. Maybe you just face a lot more MCs and heavy infantry than me though.

2 grav-guns will have a 2/3 chance of immobilizing and taking off a hull point. If the tank has AV10 rear then the Hammer of Wrath and the krak grenades will statistically strip all hull points. That with the 3 multi-meltas ant the stormtalons means I don't think I will have too much of an issue with tanks. If it is AV14 the grav-guns will just strip hull points and the multi-meltas will easily do some damage.

The problem with using MORE anti-tank is that many armies in this edition will have few to no tanks and anti-tank guns will be useless. I think this list has a good balance of anti-tank. I just can't see any reason that plasma would be better than grav. So, my main question is that if this list is more competitive than what other chapters can create?

I would switch up the special weapons a bit. Drop an attack bike and make 2 melta squads. Get combi-gravs on the grav squads and take the 5 gravgun command squad.

You are a little light on AT and just switching a few things round means you can deal with vehicles without having to commit your entire army or risk an assault. Whilst the grav command is a good back up threat to vehicles.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

How do you get 2/3 of a chance to strip a hull point. 6 shots, 4 statistic hits, not even a 1/6 chance to get a hull point. I have gone plenty of games where I dident score a single vehicle kill from grav. Even on centurions, 15 shots, 10 hits, one maybe two on the first roll, 2nd reroll all 8 or 9 fails, and probably another. It still wont kill a land raider reliably, most other vehicles will die though.

Aren't people worried that they won't be able to score objectives on higher levels with all bikes? I see a lot of white scars lists with zero boots on the ground. No scouts in lss? Or is the aim to table your opponent every game?

Bikes score as khan makes them score in units of 5+ models

There is a 2/3 chance that one of the 4 hits will be a 6.

Yes grim gunman Im aware of that. What I meant was: if an objective is placed on a higher level, a bike unit will be unable to claim it. Hence, the suggestion of having some boots on the ground to claim these otherwise unreachable objectives.

Actually, the probability of getting at least one six on four dice is .517, not 2/3.

Your list will have serious problems against the top lists from Daemons, Eldar and Tau. 31 dudes don't last long.
