Can anyone speak to a comparison between 1:35 and/or 1:32 scale and GW's 28mm (30mm?) scale?

1/35 scale figures are much taller. The vehicles are just about right, often just a bit larger. As SilverMK2 points out the weapon barrels will not match. 1/35 barrels will be long and skinny, while GW barrels tend toward short and thick.
