I got some tax returns so I got to fix everything that annoyed me about my Ork army.

In theory I want to use my mobility/range to overwhelm one part of the enemy army with massed shooting. I included as much high strenght weaponry as I could think of in order to deal with hard targets, enemy infantry shouldn't be that much of a problem to deal with. It's not much of a sturdy army but I wanted to protect everything with transports since I hate using orks in silly formations just so they don't get blown up by template weapons. Also I like that assault monsters have to first kill the transport before they can get to the squishy orks.

Perhaps it's not the most effective ork force, but it's the one I always wanted to play.

Here's the list, I hope it's readable.

KoS Dakka

HQ :

Big Mek / 4+, 5++, Attack Squig, KFF, PK = 140

Big Mek / 4+, Bosspole, SAG, Ammo Runt = 108

Cover Save / CC guy for Slugga Boyz + SAG, the weapon with the most potential in the army, goes with the 11 boyz. I could always replace the KFF with Warboss for a more powerful CC unit, what do you think?

ELITES :

12 Lootas = 180

In the other BW, they just shoot with it. I just noticed the max squad size is 15, should I include Mekboyz with rokkits to fix the BW?


TROOPS :

3x 12 Shoota Boyz / Big Shoota / Nob / Bosspole, Big Choppa = 396
3x Trukk / Big Shoota, Boarding Plank = 120

11 Shoota boyz / Rokkit Launcha = 116
Trukk / Rokkit Launcha = 40

19 Ork Slugga Boyz / Rokkit Launcha, Nob / 4+, PK = 164

Lol boarding planks, gotta go hit that vehicle with the big choppa. The main purpose of these guys is to clear enemy troops from objectives and swarm them. I don't intend to rush the Sluggaboyz into combat asap, thus the BW is still equipped with a lot of AT firepower, though of course rushing is an option too. I just want to try to use them to completely clear weakened units from board at the later stages of the game.

FAST ATTACK

Burna-Bommer / 2 Skorcha Missiles = 145

Blitza-Bommer = 135

Modeling choices, I like these better than the Dakkajet model and it just brings more medium-strenght dakka to the army, though of course it does bring it in a very high dosage. I think the burna-bomma has nice ability to clear lightly armored units from cover and I think it's better than just 3 skorcha buggies, while the Blitza-Bomma is a, uh, hopeful unit, I figured that a penetrating hit even while it probably won't kill a tank, is still gonna disable a shooty tank for at least a turn, and orks have problems dealing with tanks in general. Of course neither of these do anything to monstrous creatures, I just hope the rest of the army can. Anyway. I know the Blitza-Bomma is overcosted and has no place in a competitive list, but I like the model and hope it's gonna get a buff in the next ork codex.

HEAVY SUPPORT

2x Battlewagon / Zzap Gun, 4x Rokkit, Grot Riggers = 300

3x Killa Kans / Rokkits = 150

Battlewagons geared to having the most AT shooting possible, didn't take Deffrollas because their purpose isn't really to drive over to the enemy and ram them and they cost enough as is. Killa Kans are just filler, I guess it's nice that there's an unit that can tie say Flesh Hounds indefinitely if needed.

So. Other than the planes, which are just factually inferior to Dakkajets, what do you think?
