SO, first a couple of "house rules" by the host. No fliers, well, every army is allowed "one" flier but they count as fast skimmers. (reasons are he hates the fliers rules, and that in a battle this large the fliers would be dog-fighting in the air attempting to gain air superiority and would not have time to mozy around near the ground) must take at least 2 Special characters if at all possible. Double FOC rules, and, the one he stressed the most, your army must be THEMED. As in, for chaos, they are khorne, nurgle or undivided. marines are either companies, or strike forces or what have you. an example he gave was that a tac squad would have at least, 1 special weapon, a vet sgt with a power sword more often than not in the fluff, so they would need those.

Its mostly a good fun game but I would like opinions and any fluff issues with this list (barring an extra Chapter master) and ways to round it out better, this is the first time I will actually be playing 5k points at one time alone . ( we don't do apoc very often... and I missed the other 2 due to work/family T.T) so I kinda want this to be a fun one, but a winnable one . its in a month so I have time to get 2-3 units I don't have. I have enough models for this list with a bit of light proxying.

Imo I would like to see this list be ultramarines with white scars allies. With the chapter master on the bike he does not fit at all but if you replace your assault squads with bike squads and add some grav guns you can make this look like having white scars allies. Either that or drop the cm on bike and add 2 libbys or a chaplain.

Change your command squad on bikes to be white scars too. I would also go with all th/ss on all terminators. No need for shooting with terminators. Also I would make your scouts be 10 man and give cloaks maybe a ml too. I'm not a huge fan of afoot slogging ironclad....doesn't do it for me. 5 man dev squads are ok but best to give them more to take a few wounds before losing the big guns. Honor guard need a transport to get where they are going. Sternguard are best served in a drop pod.

I took out the iron clad and a few other things for another sterngaurd squad thanks to just enough points from takking out the ASM. (though now I have no assualt troops from the company ... guess I can get rid of a tac squad for some! lol

I would use the points from the assault squad to make bike squads. Also power weapons on sgts are overrated

yes, but this is also a semi-fluffy story. so they sorta have to have them, and the few times I ran them with power weapons, they proved very useful! (more than I had thought!)

To me making your sgts be over 40 points a model is not worth it at all.

Can you run an allied detachment? If so I would to give the bikes white scars chapter tactics.
