Ok as i really want to give a challenging match to a white scars player at my shop i have been hard pressed to figure out what to use. it's 2000pt, here's what i have come up with so far. as of now i'm still unsure.

Dude, the supreme answer to white scars is 5 man noise marines with a blast master, take like 5 squads of these. As many heldrakes as possible, and some oblits for good measure with the mark of nurgle. If you want to wipe him use noise marines as it's ap3 blast and ignores cover. Epic

why have you marked your cultists...if you dropped marks you could buy more bodies and that prevents runaways and cultists should be in cover which at its worst is a 5+.

white scars hit and run so engaging them in cc isn't a big deal for them they can just walk away and shoot your face the next turn. I hate to say it but maybe focus more on shooting elements of the army more than cc. best way ADD more bodies with guns. he has a low model count assuming as white scars is primarily bikes, so that also means a low rate of fire. I would try to scrounge up a bastion or defence line with quad gun for your havocs as it provides a quad gun for the champion and in the case of the bastion heavy bolters for all your other men creating an edifice with 4 HB 4AC and a quad gun in a AV14 bunker that has the nice perk of preventing the havocs being locked in combat. its a pain in the ass to take out and effectively creates a 3ft zone of death that he wont want to enter.

Just take this:

Hq- 2 nurgle wizards with terminator armour, mastery lvl 2

Troops- 4 x30 cultist squads with no mark

Elites- 2 x3 terminator units

Fast- All Heldrakes that you can get

Heavy- All Oblits you can get

And congrats you won, cultists will kill bikes because sheer numbers. The nurgle wizard deepstrike with 3 terminators and psychic shriek anything within 12" to death. Heldrakes kill stuff. Oblits can assault cannon bikers or lascannon AV.

So there you go this comes to around to 2102pts if your able to get 3 x3 Oblits 3 Heldrakes all 120 cultists 2 x3 terminators and 2 nurgle wizards.

Yeah but it will only be 20pts off the cultists, i could always go mass thousand sons and a squad of plasma havocs, along with two obliterators squads. As of obtyaining a painted Bastion in two day is out of the question....
