Hey guys,

Got an odd list that I would like to run at an upcoming tournament in my area, been playing around with the idea for some time, and finally have a finished list on paper. Points are VERY tight, but any comments and changes people think I should make are more than welcome!

Here's the list!

Codex: Eldar (Primary Detachment)

HQ

Farseer, Witchblade, Eldar Jetbike

The Avatar of Khaine

Troops

Windrider Jetbike Squadron
3x Guardian Jetbike, Twin-Linked Shuriken Catapult

Windrider Jetbike Squadron
3x Guardian Jetbike, Twin-Linked Shuriken Catapult

Heavy Support

Wraithknight, Two Heavy Wraithcannons
Wraithknight, Two Heavy Wraithcannons
Wraithknight, Two Heavy Wraithcannons

Tau Empire: Farsight Enclaves (Allied Detachment)

HQ choice (not counting towards FoC)

Shas'vre O'Vesa

HQ

Cadre Fireblade

Elites

XV104 Riptide, Advanced targeting system, Early warning override, Ion accelerator, Riptide battlesuit, Riptide Shield Generator, Twin-linked smart missile system

Troops

XV8 Crisis Team, Bonding Knife Ritual

Crisis Shas'ui, Crisis battlesuit, Drone controller, 2x Marker Drone

XV8 Crisis Team (compulsory), Bonding Knife Ritual

Crisis Shas'ui, Crisis battlesuit, Flamer
Crisis Shas'ui, Crisis battlesuit, Missile pod
Crisis Shas'ui, Crisis battlesuit, Missile pod

Comes to 1849pts. Really tried my best to slot some Markerlights into the list, along side the Farseer for extra buffs. Very light on troops, which is a worry, but the amount of monsters on the field should create some target priority issues for my opponent.

Cheers!

This looks fun and maybe you could tell us how it worked? Good Luck.

You're going to have to change the list up. Can't have O'Vesa without Farsight.

Going to have a very difficult time against Daemons with this list.

And people ask me why I bother to run grav centurions, grav wielding command squads, and 4 or 5 bike units with grav guns and combi grav. This kind of list is the reason. Too bad I have nothing to deal with the seers. But I guess when you build a list like this you do it with the thought to crush any kind of counters too.

Definitely going to be a fun list to play, and definitely will look awesome on the table top. Ill try to do a recap of my games after the tournament!

You're going to have to change the list up. Can't have O'Vesa without Farsight.

It doesn't say anywhere in the Farsight Enclave book that you are required to take Farsight in an army in order to include one of the special character body guards. All that it mentions is that they are a special HQ unit that does not take up a slot if you are taking the Enclave Supplement as a primary or allied detachment. You just take them as individual models, and not as body guards (As Farsight himself is listed in the 8 choices). Let me know if I'm missing something!

I think you're right. I haven't actually played against the really competitive daemon army yet, so I dont really know any good counters to it, or how to go about playing against it. Most likely will find out soon enough! (Any tips?)

Grav weapons are going to give me a headache, for sure. But the main thing is O'Vesa has a re-rollable reactor to give me an almost guaranteed 3++ vs grav, the drones in his unit also make it so you are wounding on 4's instead of 2s. The Wraithknights might be in a bit of trouble, but they are fast, and grav generally has quite a short range, so hopefully I can tie up the units with grav in combat rather quickly. It will be interesting, and cover will be hard to aquire with my knights. But ill let you know how I go!

"“When choosing a Farsight Enclaves army with Commander Farsight as its Warlord, you may take Farsight’s Commander Team instead of Farsight's XV8 Crisis Bodyguard Team. The Commander Team is an HQ choice that does not take up a Force Organisation slot and consists of up to seven battlesuits chosen from those listed on pages 38-39."

You can only start taking commanders if you have farsight.

Well there you go. My copy doesn't say that. Might have to change a few things!
