I play chaos space marines but I want to have a chaos land raider crusader that is OK with the rules. Are there any idea's on how I can get this?
PS I don't want to have any vanilla Spess Muhreens. I would like some DA though. Can they ally with chaos? I haven't got my BRB with me right now.

No such thing. In our Meta LRs rule the board and the chaos one always delivers Abby and some Mutilators which wreck shop.

Chaos Land raiders. They got spikes and....that's about it. Apparently the warp sucks all imagination and inginuity out of chaos marines. I think GW would take 1d6 damage for every option they'd give the chaos land raider. Warp flame cannons or something would be nice. Heck, even reaper autocannons would be fluffy. Or...bigger spikes?

Allying with DA is a bit of a not likely also, as they absolutely HATE chaos sm...

It sucks that chaos dont get all the LR variants, but then regular marines don't get helldrakes, daemon engines or daemon princes (well except for mephiston...)

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts

Unfortunately not we can't get them, but if you were to take a big plate of cookies into your local gaming club and say can i use this as a crusader and pay the points difference (if there is one) I'm sure people wouldn't mind to much

Slaanesh: "Hey guys we're back! We brought presents. And yes, they ARE sexually suggestive"
Tzeentch: "So did we miss anything while we were away"
Khorne and Nurgle trade a shifty glance
Tzeentch: "Hey! Whos been touching my stuff! Where did my Old World go?!"
Khorne and Nurgle wander off whistling.

No way legally, but if you came up to me and asked, I would gladly allow you to take a chaos land raider crusader. It is, by FAR the worst land raider. You can pack as many of those AV14 turds into your list as you want as far as I'm concerned.

Fortunately for you, you're barred from taking them in the official rules. Unfortunately for you, you can always ask other players for an exception.

Or you could just take the best land raider loadout anyways, which is the one the codex lets you take.

Our Land Raiders are garbage.
Pure, stinking, warp-degenterated GARBAGE.

Nevermind we have only 1 variant of the thing. The fact we don't have POTMS (Power of the Warp would be bloody fitting...Or just add it in with Daemonic Possession...) So never mind your split firing, if your 1 sponson can't see jack, then that's too damn bad!

Our melee dedicated units are bad enough (Berzerkers anyone?) Why can't we fit an entire box of them in a Land Raider?... (12 btw if you haven't bought the box) And why on earth doesn't Daemonic Possession confer an Invuln save?... Well because for 20 points and randomly having any transport capacity nullified if your squad champion gets eaten by your tank, 20 points basically nets you 2+ ignores shaken and stunned... Woopi! >.>

-Worst set of load out addons - Havoc Launchers are laughable
-Combi Weapons on a tank are pitiful
-Warp Flame Gargoyles are about as useful on a tank that is stuck with Lascannons as an MKll Cannon is on an Ice Cream truck.
-Dozer Blades cost points?... "Sorry, but you modeled your spiky CSM tank, and therefore as is, you HAVE Dozer Blades.. If you didn't pay for them, you're cheating!" >.> v_v"
-The only "good" part of our Daemonic Armory is the Dirge Caster. And even that has it's limitations in uses...

What else am I missing?... I can rant and rave all day. It's a good thing the Heldrake doesn't suffer from any of that garbage... Otherwise their entire Mechanized portion of their Book would be an auto skip... I mean look at the bloody Hellbrute... WTF is that thing?...

-It gains powers from being injured... Why th- Nevermind... Aside from the pointless plop that it is, being a Dreadnaught, all it gets is a Crazed Table that will more than likely hinder it's job (whatever that may be) and basically get your hopes up, in all cases being destroyed by 1 pen anyways. I have 3 sitting on a drawer somewhere I got from people literally GIVING them away lol...

I'd love to see a LR with baleflamers, suits an assault tank and by lord consider how much of a fit Heldrake generated... It would be a golden age... (obviously you'd remove the turret from the drake version)

Or just put the stupid Forgefiend guns on the sponsons... anything! Lascannons on assault transport. Logic.

The least thing they could do would at least be to give the Chaos LR 12 models transport capacity, like every other lascannon-armed Land Raider in the entirety of 40K.

Inquisitorial, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Space Marines, Grey Knights, all of them are 12, except CSM that are 10.

Lazy codex writing is lazy.

Havoc Launchers will forever have a special place in my heart because they won me a game.

Straight-up annihilation, to the last model, 700pts (I think. Very small, anyway). A Rhino full of Berserkers was immobilised,

It's such a minor thing, but annoying. A Terminator Lord can't ride with a full five-man Terminator squad! Also, same transport capacity as a Rhino?

It would fit the theme of CSM to have one Land Raider with multiple options, like how they just have "Chaos Terminators" that can equip to meet various roles as opposed to "Assault Terminators" and "Terminators". But no, just sort-of Godhammer. And Daemonic Possession is nonsense. Plus it not making sense that they don't have machine-spirits in the first place. Apparently being covered in spikes makes a vehicle's targeting computer break.

Use one of the forgeworld LR variants, most of those are chaos-friendly. Aside from lack of PotMS, which is pretty silly. Do the AIs in the land raiders go brain dead when they turn to chaos?

No one should have to rely on a FW model that costs 295 points base and upwards of 150$ to justify lazy codex writing =/

The least they could have done was give our vehicles in general, Obliterator weapons.

The problem of the Chaos LR is not the loadout, the Twin lascan are good weapons, even if its better to have more options, for 10 years Sm outside Templars din't have any other kind of LR either.

No the real problem is that for some reason in 4th Edition they took out the PotMS equivalant(Infernal Engine) rule, okay its 20pts cheaper, but it was taking out one of the major trait of the LR, being able to shoot at a different target with one weapon.

And thats what Loyalist LR are superiour, for the rest, they are essentially the same.

If you houserule it to use a Crusader, then houserule it to take Hades AC has sides sponsons and Reaper AC in exchange for the TLHBolters, for lets say +15pts for the Canons and +10pts for the Reaper.

Actually, all LR`s with lascannons have transport cap of 10

Yup.

The previous SM codex LR had 12, because Ward felt like upping it.

He got a 'talking to' supposedly for that.

Aside from that little hiccup regular LR are 10.

Forgeworld shouldn't be a "Fix" for any reason though... The Dex, was nothing more than a Ginny Pig for this edition =/ I know I'm not the only one that thought that... A lot of Chaos players in our area were rather disappointed in the lack of pretty much everything that was supposed to be new....

Sure... the Forgefiend and Maulerfiend are nice... But there is no justification in their existence since other options in our Heavy Support section out weigh their potential to the point the only reason they are taken, is simply because of fluff and or jolly-lists. (I use this term because in our area, a jolly-list is simply a list in which to have fun, without any care for competitiveness) Tri Las Preds are so cheap and useful as our main go to Heavy Support there really isnt any reason to take a BS3 Forefiend who on average will miss have of his 8 shots. =/

On another point, the dex was generally considered too random, point values were considered grossly high for a lot of the dex and units were introduced that simply didn't need to exist, aside from generating new models for fans to buy. (Mutilators anyone?)

The Chaos Boon Table and the NEED to MUST ACCEPT CHALLENGES, completely killed all our Champions. It is largely considered a detriment to outfit champions with anything at this point now. The only real reason to do so is it you plan to place an IC in the same squad, so that a Power Fist on a Champion might deal 1-2 wounds to an enemy Champion or IC if you throw your Champion in a challenge and have your own IC annihilate his squad.

In general I and all of the Chaos Players I know in our area were just, very disappointed in the 6th Edition Chaos Dex. :(

Not going to stop us from playing, but, the next 10 years will be very deciding in our "excitement" levels for new GW releases in 40k...

Yeah because the 8 Khorne icons and link to my World eaters thread in my sig clearly design me has a SM player looking for sympathy...
