So guys, i've played FFG's Deathwatch and Only War so far, and my group of friends is delving into the depths of Rogue Trader.
Our GM is very experienced, and all of us have a lot of RPG experience.
I by luck of the draw get to be the group's Rogue Trader.

From those who have played before, what are some of the most important things to think about when creating such a character? I have a pretty high WS, and Fellowship, but it seems like i fit into the second line combatant role, and as a party "face"
Any suggestions from previous gaming?

You want high fellowship of course, and you want skills that your guy focuses on, but commerce is a good one for you.

Get a balanced weapon, make sure you can dodge and pick up some decent armor.

Aside from that, play it like any other FFG 40k rpg, except as rich men in space.

Intelligence is also important for a RT; while it is the Senechal's job to know it all, a dumb Rogue Trader is just a well dressed puppet.

Also, hats. The more scandalous/outrageous the better
