Are the Wildcats your cheerleaders? This is not Corregidor, you can't link them. Also, you've not filled out your SWC. I would drop the moderator to give one of them a spitfire. Note also that you haven't got much repeaters to support the Spektr.

But then again, I'm also as green as possible when it comes to playing Infinity,so you're not obliged at all to follow my advice.

Never played. Starting this week and just trying to figure out what to get. Any advice is welcome or even a list. I like nomads for the tags and helmeted models. Zeros, tomcats, wildcats, specter and intruders. Usually try to keep this theme.

I'd suggust dropping the Spectr and Moderator, and go full Corregidor, just because linked teams are sweet.

This. You've basically got a Corregidor force there. Drop those two, add a Wildcat Hacker (to replace the Spectrs hacking ability) and a Wildcat Number 2 (which is handy if your link leader dies), will put you at 297pts/6SWC. This will give you a full link team of 5 Wildcats with a Number 2 and still have a hacker.

The link team also helps mitigate your short starting orders, since you've only got 9 orders, 1 of which is AD (so you don't get it until he arrives). With a link team they move with a single order, not 1 for each model.

Can't you use coordinated orders for that?

You can. but it would cost you one order for each model within the coordinated order (max 4) to do the same thing a link team can do.

But then again, with coordinated orders you're presenting multiple threatening targets to your opponent.

I'll leave this for now, I don't think this is the right place to discuss this, don't really like offensive link teams but that's my opinion, and, like I stated before, am just starting Infinity. You can have it your way, I'm almost sure there are hidden advantages to link teams that I don't see.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

The first time one of your guys creeps around a corner, and gets a double missile-launcher to the face in ARO from a really cheap linked unit of Keisotsu you will change your mind

Really, the acknowledgement of how powerful they are is already built into the rules; through link teams only being usable by sectorials.

Coordinated order has a different function really, despite it being similar in that you're moving miniatures together, and the circumstances in which you use it are very different. Need to run some guys between cover while being shot, or running 2 units around opposite sides of a terrain piece are just two examples.

On Topic - Would go with the miniatures you like most, then try and squeeze them into either a core Nomad force or Sectorial depending on the AVA. And, there is nothing to stop you switching between sectorial and core, and swapping miniatures in and out (most people do it all the time).

This would be my take on that list whilst trying to keep to your theme. Swapping the hellcat for a tomcat if you prefer, I would be inclined to take a doctor one rather than an engineer though.
