I know there's no anti-air, but this is a list for my local meta (flyers just break in our bags so we don't bring them xD)
General tactic is the blob stays back and holds the home objective, the annihilators kill tanks and transports, then in the third or fourth turn the Hades come up on objectives, engineers run out and take the objectives for the game

i think you now need another troop choice to meet the minimum of 2.

you could technically remove the Hades from one of the squads and have the second squad of engineers follow the first through so they remain troops and can score, although if the Hades dies then your engineers cannot enter.

Hades really did get nerfed in the last fw update

Oh yes.. That is true, or I could take the Blob apart and turn them into Grenadier Veterans or even more Engineers :3

are you using the seige pdf list?

look at small units of engineers and stick them in centaurs with a PG or MG and a Heavy Flamer and even a melta bomb. They can assault out of them, pop armour and then use the heavy flamer on the rest.

I had a good fun game with 7 x centaurs carrying a combination of engineers, CCS and grenadiers. I also used death riders to support my attack on CSM+daemons! i did lose but namely down to really bad dice rolls.

if a dolphin will jump out of water for fish, just imagine what it would do for chips?

I swear death riders are really crap xD And, that sounds like a cool idea actually, but the heavy flamer is a heavy weapon which is annoying, and I also can't assault if I shoot it so I'd be more inclined to go for flamers :3
EDIT: Yes, I am using the PDF but I do have all the Siege of Vraks books on hand.. They're out of date though, what a waste of money.
EDIT 2: Also, after checking you can't assault out of Centaurs..

heavy flamer may have the heavy word in its name but its an assault weapon

death riders when supporting a big assault arent too bad and will cut through MEQ easily enough. they do attract more attention on their aesthetics rather than how effective they really are.

Never underestimate the effect on your opponent when placing 25 deathriders on the board as the reserves turn up.

Also, Centaurs aren't Assault Vehicles :/
AND 25 DEATH RIDERS IS SO EXPENSIVE D: HOW CAN YOU AFFORD THAT

The Centaur is open-topped, and all open-topped vehicles are assault vehicles. So you actually can assault out of a Centaur if you wish.

Currently not in posession of any armies - I merely theorycraft and discuss background,
Waiting for HH Book 6 so I can start an Imperial Army army.

i get paid pretty well

the more you look into the MSU availability in the siege regt list it makes a non artillery build look pretty sweet.

A lot of my DKOK has been bought incrementally over the years so it does split it up quite well.

Another approach to use is if you dont want deathriders - use 4 x thudds to try and pin your enemy before assaulting with your MSU's

Centaurs do pop easily though - if and when they pop its not a good result. hence my use of deathriders as a screen with FNP

if a dolphin will jump out of water for fish, just imagine what it would do for chips?

I'd have thought Death Riders would be a terrible screen at 15ppm, I'd rather ally Ravenwing and use those as a screen..

i'm a purist at heart - DKOK for 40k and Admech for 30k

I am looking at some way of getting an eversor assassin in though. Eversors were made for Zone Mortalis

Take a look at the Assault Brigade list for the DKoK from IA 12. It gives you a lot more options when combined with the Siege Regiment list.

I would highly recommend putting some quad guns/heavy mortars in your army. They are cheap and very useful for pinning enemy units.

IA12 is almost essential when looking at expanding your list to and from 1500pts

respawn infantry
banner upgrades and special characters
You can give upgrades to make your commander ignore instant death for one turn
Shred/rending shotguns!
Ignore cover upgrades to heavy mortars!
Assault 2 lasguns!

salivating yet? allie in artillery with a Commisaar general, squad of engineers and as many earthshakers as possible for cheap points. brutal!

i've never used them so i'd be whinging for the sake of doing so without any experience.

I only run a thunderer or Colossus siege bombard - my home board is a city so no point in getting anything extra unless its a vanquisher as a command tank for my artillery (that will happen but not until my ZM board and admech list is finished)
