First off, let me say, the new Player Finder feature here on Dakka is AWESOME!!!!

But, I've noticed that none of the games from Cool Mini or Not are listed, and, frankly, these are the games for which people have trouble finding fellow players. If I can suggest the following:

- Dark Age (awesome game, not NEARLY enough people playing it)
- Sedition Wars (boardgame/miniatures hybrid, but plenty of folks bought into the kickstarter and would love to know who in their local area is interested).
- Relic Knights (not sure this one is actually out yet, but it was another successful kickstarter)
- Wrath of Kings (yet another kickstarter campaign with a game that isn't actually out yet, but, again, tons of interest)

If nothing else, I'd really love to see the first two added to the Player Finder and we can probably wait on the other two, as they technically haven't been released yet.

Just some suggestions, thanks!!!!

Hey Wargamers in the DC/VA/MD area (ie: the Beltway), check these groups out!

Dark Age should be added, yeah that was an oversight on my part.

Sedition Wars will be added when it becomes a proper wargame, but for now that (and the much more popular zombicide) are well represented by the 'boardgames' option. There are simply too many miniature focused boardgames out there for us to list them all so we've listed next to none for the time being.

We will eventually get around to greatly expanding the game list, but for now I want to keep the list quite short to monitor how intensive the database requirements are. Every game we add complicates things a little bit more, so I'm eager to keep the game numbers low to keep the system optimal for the time being.

Other games are largely based on how much discussion they get on Dakka to qualify for addition. They will all be added eventually I'm sure.

I'll get Dark Age added sometime sooner though. Thanks for the suggestions!

As you noted, OP, Relic Knights and Wrath of Kings aren't out yet! So don't really make sense for inclusion yet, I think.

Well once Dark Age is up, I'd be willing to throw it into my profile, I've got a starter set, but I've never played

EDIT: There are a few DA suppliers in the UK, far from common though.

You're joking, right?

http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/index.php

Dark Age is one of the few miniature brands WG doesn't sell. Same with Troll Trader, TW etc, DA is not available in the UK.

No, I wasn't joking, because to my knowledge 1) The 2nd edition of the rules are available via dark-age.com in pdf form, and 2) CMON does international shipping. So it's not that it's not available in the UK, it's just that they haven't figured out distribution to the UK (something that a quick look at their forums appears to be in motion. So, I did what anyone looking for a product did, I googled"UK retailers that stock Dark Age" and I got this:
http://www.valiantwargames.co.uk/index.php/wargames-miniatures/dark-age.html

It seems it is indeed available in the UK. You should check it out, like I said, the 2nd edition rules are available in pdf form on their website.

Edit: I see you've edited your response, but 'uncommon' doesn't mean not available in the UK, nor does it mean US exclusive.

That's cute, because I doubt that people are going to rush out and buy miniatures you can only get from one place that likely isn't a very good store.

Besides I'm not interested in another miniatures games and it quite annoys me how the DA producers are yet another company who think NMM is going to make their pewters look masterful [though they're great models]

If you're not interested in another Miniatures game, why does it matter if Dark Age is included in the Player Finder or not?

Maybe just make it 'CMON Games: Dark Age, Relic Knights, Etc'? ala the combined listing for Brushfire & Endless; Keeps it future proof for whenever Relic Knights and WOK actually start shipping.

You are right Cyp, that is a much more elegant solution.

Agreed, and keeps the list shorter, hopefully making it easier to use

While I'm making suggestions:
- Will it be possible to see a breakdown at some point of how many players for each listing without having to check each one individually? Its mostly just a curiosity thing, and I'd be fine with it just being in your annual report.

- Does GW need 10 separate listings? IMO 4 would probably cover it: 40k, Fantasy, Lotr/wotr/Hobbit, Specialist Games
- Does Mantic need 3 listings? Seems like 2 would do it: Mantic Fantasy (Kings of War, DKH/Q) & Mantic Sci-Fi (Warpath, Deadzone, Dreadball, Mars Attacks)
- Same with Spartan and Fantasy Flight, do they need 2 listings each?

Just seems like there is a bit of fat that could be trimmed.

I'll do some breakdowns of stats in the future - there is natural decay built in, so in theory we'll be able to show the ebb and flow of games once there is a couple of years of data in there.

The other split listings are down to personal and mod team bias, along with just how much crossover interest there is between players of those different games from the same manufacturers.

Just a quick note that this is now done and there is a cmon category in your profile and in the player finder. Add away
