KABOOM
China deserves all the congratulations in the world for landing its first spacecraft on the Moon. It's a big deal – both for China and humanity at large. But can somebody please explain why the background image at this exhibit for China's recently deployed Yutu Rover depicts a massive mushroom cloud over Europe?

The picture is found here: http://android.appstorm.net/roundups/60-beautiful-wallpapers-for-your-android-phone/
And also on a desktop wallpaper website.
The link in the appstorm article appears to direct to a now nonexistant deviantART submission, and is helpfully titled "Earth Nuke", just so any fears might be allayed as soon as possible.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I don't think I could live without a chippy every now and then. They couldn't take the "Chippy" away, people would go into shock. We've got a reputation for heart disease that we need to keep up!
Never had a deep fried mars bar, the concept just sounds disgusting... it also looks like somebody took a crap in the frier.

I'm happy so long as I get my fill of Chinese cuisine. Of course, there'd still have to be access to Italian to secure my 'yes' vote; chinese and pizza deliveries would make the world a better place.

Why do we have all of these nukes if we never get to use them? China is simply showing leadership, they are. They want their farmers to tend fields in the shade. Shade provided by billowing clouds of smoke from a nuked Europe! I'll miss the Dutch Field Hockey Team, though. I has a sad...

Probably just somebody goofing up.
Even if it's not, it might be just one guy, the guy who was in charge of the background, doing it, and not the Chinese government trying to send a message.
But if they want to send a message about militarizing space, fine. If there's one thing the US enjoys, it's a challenge.
