Yes or no?
I was thinking of running her with an XV-8 team.

No, due to how and when you join an IC to a unit.
You can have them outflank together though

Yes, no, maybe.
Basically you only join an IC to a unit by deploying her within coherency or joining them in reserve. If you do the former the unit must be deployed and therefore can not infiltrate. If you do the later the unit has been placed in reserve and therefore can not infiltrate.
For it to work you'd need to be able to join units before they are deployed.
It appears GW thinks you can do this but have never told us you can do this (or when or how). The reason being Shrike's rule:
Codex: Space Marines wrote: Shrike has the stealth and infiltrate special rules. Before deploying, he may only join squads of Jump Infantry
Which means either:
1) That 2nd sentence means nothing and does nothing
2) ICs can indeed join units before deploying
Make of that what you will, discuss with your gaming group. I'm guessing a FAQ will allow it but who knows.

The third option that Fling always ignores and pretends doesn't exist is
3) Shrike is special.

What do you mean Rigeld? How does a restriction on an action you can't take make Shrike special?

I agree with flingitnow. Shrikes rule says he can only join jump infantry.
If it is intended that characters can not join units for infiltrating, then the rule would not have said "only"
It would have read "Before deploying shrike can join units of jump infantry"
The fact that it says "only" implies that you normally are not restricted.
RAW is clear. The order of opporations doesn't allow it, for what it's worth though, most of the big tournaments allow IC's with infiltrate to join units before deploying. (Reecius's tourneys come to mind which are some of the biggest in the US)

So wait a minute. Does this mean you cannot start the game with an IC attached to a squad embarked in a vehicle? After all, when a unit and an IC are aboard a vehicle, coherency rules arent coming into effect as they are only relevant on the battlefield. E:g. Marneus Calgar joined to a unit of Tactical marines aboard a Land Raider?

Or
3) The 2nd sentence means you cannot deploy him with a unit of Assault Terminators in reserve (both Shrike with his Jump Pack and Assault Termies with their terminator armor have the deep strike special rules)
In fact, that restriction is unique to Shrike. Usually you can deploy an IC with a jump pack with a unit wearing terminator armor and vice versa since no rule in the BRB restricts it.

Except we have a rule telling us we can have them "join" a unit by putting them in the same transport. Flingit just didn't specify it, but the other 2 ways he listed

All Infiltrate ICs can join any non-infiltrate units by deploying with the(already deployed) non-infiltrate unit during Infiltrate deployment.
This includes units held in reserves, but would not allow those units in reserve to outflank since their unit is already prepared as either Comiung onto table normally, or as deep striking for those units with that ability.
Shrike preclusion from joining non-JI Units changes nothing, if not worded a little wrong.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.
