With the amount of money I've dropped on models this year, I have a lot of stuff to get through in 2014. I'm limiting my spend next year to terrain, and the OCCASIONAl supplementary model.

My painting goals are:

Get 400 points of Aleph painted
Get 30 points of khador painted
Get 1500 points of orcs and goblins painted
Get 1500 points of vanilla marines painted

All the above factions are underway, but have a long way to go. I also want to get an infinity table's worth of terrain built.

Ambitious, but achievable I think. What is everyone else planning?

Great idea for a thread! Might be fun to re-visit this at the end of 2014.

Mine are (on the basis of aiming as high as I can!)

- Finish writing rules for 3rd player/games master interaction for Infinity
- Completion of FoW Late War Grenadierkompanie.
- Finish the 3 Infinity factions that are currently WIP, start one more, finally finish my boards.
- Run at least one Infinity tournament/event, hopefully two.
- Finish my Deadzone faction, paint up some terrain.
- Finish Imperial-era Roman force in 28mm.
- Finish Orc army for Kings of War
- Collect small amount of samurai-era miniatures for Ronin. Possibly themed terrain.
- Paint up the 3 Kickstarters as they arrive (Mars Attacks, Fractured Dimensions, Aliens Vs. Predator)
- Dropzone commander force
- Decide what to do with the dwarf army I have sitting in blisters.
- Play more Dreadball!

Think that's it for now, probably forgotten some stuff though!

That makes me feel a lot better! Good to know I'm not the only one with a massive backlog...

I do have some dust stuff and a tohaa force to get done too, but that's only if I get the other stuff done.

Backlog here too, I've slowly been tackling it this year but I still have many incomplete projects laying around.

This year I'd like to make a sweet modular gaming table, I'm thinking an 8x4 but modular in that the table itself could resize to 6x4, with 2x2 tiles made out of MDF and sculpted insulation foam.

I'd also like to really get into customizing and converting models and making use of the MASSIVE bits stockpile I've accumulated. I have a lot of old, crappy models that I see potential in converting into something unique, and I've been inspired by a lot of awesome models I've seen here.

Lastly, and probably least realistic is to stop buying more crap until I finish painting up the boxes of still in shrink wrap or blister pack models. I've got a stash and I could probably spend the entirety of 2014 working on it and not even get all the way through it.

We'll see how that one goes

Hey maybe writing it down will make me actually give it a shot!

Finish painting the Open Fire! box i bought aaages ago
Start painting the WHFB Dwarves that have been sat in a box for 3 years
Repaint the Space Marines i haven't done yet
Repaint the worst offenders from my IG army
Finish the assorted 28mm moderns that have been sat on my desk for the best part of 2 years
PAINT MY BLOODY PANZERS
Paint 300ish pts of Haqqislam
Possibly start another Infinity army
Finish my 1/72 Wehrmacht
Make a proper start on my various 1/35 tanks
Actually have a gaming table of sorts instead of resorting to playing on the floor

Oh and clear enough space on my painting desk to actually, you know. paint

Wow maybe writing this all down was a bad idea

I have a whole list of things I own that I want to get painted up. Here are my top 10 (I probably have a backlog of at least 30 or 40 projects). These are more or less in the order I wish to do them.

1.) Unfinished Ork Superheavy Scratchbuild
2.) Fire Raptor
3.) Hellbadger
4.) Warhound
5.) Plague Hulk
6.) Decimator
7.) Night Shroud Bomber & 2 Night Scythe escorts. I have a good excuse for procrastinating on these, as I am waiting for my Anarchy Models Kickstarter Stencils to arrive.
8.) The rest of my Necron HQ's. 6 or so.
9.) Stormraven with CHS extension.
10.) 3 Tomb Spyders & 6 Wraiths, These have the same color scheme so will get painted at the same time, so one "thing".

10 projects in a year? When one of them is a warhound you know that most of the things on this list will not get finished.

Squatting with the squigs

1) Paint my bedroom
2) Paint my miniatures
3) fix up the garden so the neighbours cannot see my abortion of a garden from their new second story.
4) Downsize the number of beehives I have into something manageable.

1. Build at least 2000 points of Space Marines.
2. Paint that 2000 Points.
3. Get an average of a game a week in, and do so without getting shiny object syndrome and jumping to a new army/book (there's always allies!).
4. Finish all the prep work for the local GT (our sixth annual) on time/early and have a successful fun event.
5. Launch my gaming group's Youtube channel.

Those are my major gaming goals. The last two are a group effort, but we seem to have a much more dedicated and focused group than we have in the past, so I'm hopeful that this will be the best year yet for gaming in my area.

I even made it a clickable link!

It's a large flyer made of MDF. It's a real treat to assemble and it's a fair proxy for a Thunderhawk with some converting. You can buy them here for $150.

1-get what i currently own of at least one or two armies completely painted
2-reconfigure my current storage setup to be as bit less messy looking and more organized for finding things at a glance
3-sell/trade all the odds and ends that i'm unlikely to ever use or have since lost all interest in
4-try and get in some gaming, this year has been the other aspects of the hobby

To not buy any new 40K models until I have everything I own at least assembled and base coated.

Even though I really want to start Tyranids....

I reckon that resolution will last me until about 2050 as I have sooooo much stuff still sitting around in shrink wrapped boxes....

5. Not start any new armies, especially not a Heresy Death Duard army
6. get decent storage boxes for all my painted armies.
7. Try out either DZC or Infinity
