Yeah I definitely do. I love Dust models and toyed with getting them for all my armor, before I got a couple Leman Russ for pretty cheap.

Now a lot of people think that Leman Russ are ugly and if they were built in real life, would be impractical. Well, look at how low a Landraider is or how prohibitively small a Rhino. But, it's a game. It's a hobby that USED to be about creativity.

As far as someone telling me that they won't allow a model, I doubt I would play against them. I play friendly games, with lists that match background. My ork trukks are big. My battlewagons too. I'm using a modified Sherman tank as a Leman Russ Vanquisher because I liked the look.

Whose to say there isn't a world where they manufacture Imperial Guard walker tanks instead of treads? Screw it, it's your hobby. Have fun with it.

GW seems to even scale down their minis for vehicle crew. I was doing some conversions for my IG using old Warzone trenchers and I used some IG bodies which worked fine, then found my Leman Russ had a cool piece of a tank commander with gas mask which fit right in, only he was so small scale that he didn't fit the bodies when other IG parts did. WTH?

I think that it should be close to size but its okay to be a little off as long as it works.

I'm never really opposed to things like walker tanks for IG, because I still have old rule books with Imperial Guard landspeeders and beast men. Not to say that the old first edition rules are th egolden age, but there was a back ground that was there and changed over time. If you were exposed to it, then it seemed like not a big deal. The whole STC and "the imperium is too dumb to invent anything" bothers me. I know it is dark. Grim dark. But still by all accounts there are so many affluent planets, someone has to be inventing something.

Oh yeah like DA special landspeeders, new air support for marines, and oh IDK - centurians?
